Did weightwatchers last year, it worked well for me.

Not sure wether or not to try Slimming world this time.

Always have to do the online programs as am shift worker.

Shift workers come to the SW group  I go to. They get leeway to miss classes due to working, or can weigh in at a different class when they can't get to their regular class.

    Hi

I have always been a big fan of slimming world, i love it because its such a good eating plan you dont feel like you are on a diet. Alot food is free food meaning u dont have to weigh or count points for it (you use your points on treats that you fancy such as wine/beer, crisps, chocolate or whatever else takes your fancy).

They have just changed the plan slighty too and its brilliant, so much more flexible.

    I hope this helps.

I've never done slimming world but have done ww a few times & am starting it again from home (with the old booklets i got given 1st time around). If ww worked for last time is it worth giving it another go?

Good luck whichever you decide to do, although try & think of it as a healthy eating life style change because (& this might just be a personal choice) if you think of it as a diet it'll only ever be a short term solution. Thats why I love weight watchers as it helps me to get the right portion sizes and incorporate lots of veg.

Thank you all for your replies, much appreciated.

Will try WWs again as its what I'm familiar with, if not much result in a few months, might try SW.

Keep the feedback on both coming though, please, it's interesting.

    Hi all (im new!)

Im following slimming world. I followed it before I got married and lost 2 stone in 3 months. Love it because I can eat big plates of pasta and huge jackets and beans. Put the weight back on after the wedding and the birth of our daughter, but am determined to get back my pre baby shape.

    Good luck

    Hi,

I was toying with the idea of joining a slimming club. Then I thought actually I know why I have gained weight  1) I ate too much 2) i stopped exercising 3) complacent with my fella  So i decided to re think what I was eating, and my h2b also decided that he could do with shiffting a few pounds too, we got back into exercise, back at the gym and now Im back to running which I used to do before we met, and this month I have lost 9lbs just four more to go and I have met my target for the month.  Its not been hard work cause I have simply decided to not eat what makes me fat always reminding myself that I want to be a slimmer bride (not wedding till next Aug) and in general I needed to improve my lifestyle with healthy eating and exercise.  I gained 20 kilos following a riding accident in August 2008 so believe me I have a lot of weight to shift, but I certainly feel confident that its do able and Im saving myself money by not visiting slimming classes.  I use free applications on my Ipod that I can track food Iv eaten, exercise that I have done etc.  If you have previously done WW then why not use the principles of what you did with them?

    Good luck

oh and PS yesterday I had my wedding dress fitting ..... Been told to stop all weights/over toning exercises as im bulking up lol so its just cv for me and good healthy food last thing I want to do is walk down the isle looking like hulk hogen in a very pretty dress lol

Hi I tried WW aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages ago and lost nada.  But tried SW beg of 2008 and lost a stone.  Started SW again 3 weeks ago today and so far have lost half a stone.  I prefer SW to WW because fruit is free on SW whereas you have to count it as points on WW and that didnt work for me.

    Good luck xx
