It's that time of year again - the top Scottish baby names for 2009 has been published. Here's the list of all names registered, some absolute crackers!

Lear - I think Chelc is probably pronounced like Chelsea / Chelsey - a bit like that girl on the X Factor who was called Treyc (pronounced Tracey).

    I'm loving Jaxxson and James-Junior.

Also, why do people take two normal names then hypenate them into one weird-sounding name,  for instance Harry-James?

  • Re: Anyone want a laugh - baby names!

It's the D-Jays, KTs etc that I find the oddest. Think Darren-Junior might be my favourite though, and Adonis has a lot to live up to....

Hi Catarina.  I hope you are well...  What is it about the name Stevie-Gi that amuses you so??

  • Re: Anyone want a laugh - baby names!

Sophey is a 'legitimate' spelling IIRC, as is Sophy...

    Ideas and donations welcome x
