it's funny, if I saw that hanging up I'd have thought it pretty but not me at all - seeing how good it looks on you I might even try it on! I think you look absolutely beautiful and will have everyone gasping at you (particularly 'cos it's a bit different from the norm!)

Thanks ladies, i think i just was expecting the big emotional bit when put it on, but it didn't happen and it made me feel quite upset.  I have been a bit low for a few days so maybe it's just that. 

Because my wedding is New Years eve i thought it was something just that little bit different.  My OH definatly wont be expecting any colour on dress. 

A really big thanks to you all you've made me feel sooooo much better (was also worrying about looking mutton what with it being second marriage and not a million miles from 40's)

P.S. the trim is midnight blue, although in pics it really does look black

It's lovely!  And once you get your accessories and hair and make up all done - you'll feel wow!!

It has a wow factor not only because it is a lovely dress but also because its a bit different from the usual ivory strapless numbers. It really suits you so don't wobble any longer.

ETA - no offence to those having ivory strapless numbers, mine was a fairly typical strapless dress too. Ok time to quit this whilst I'm still slightly ahead
