    Morning Lovelies!

Mazzy - hope your BP stays low and sorry that your birthing centre birth is not hopeful.  Take it easy m'dear.

Up early as usual, but H did the nightshift and I've taken over to give him the chance for a catch up before work.  However, I think I had the worst sleep as I kept waking up, but never heard any noise from Jack's room!  Between needed the loo, baby moving, weird dreams and thinking about  birth, having 2 children etc I didn't have the best night's sleep!  Arrrggggghhhhh!  Feeling better than I did yesterday afternoon - felt proper bleurgh!

Jack is in nursery this morning and I have what will probably be the last hair cut for a while.  Other than that I plan on doing much today at all.  Got a few tops yesterday when out with my parents - just some long sleeved t shirt tops and 2 cheap semi-fitted jumpers...... got easy wash stuff as I remember getting through on average 2-3 tops a day with Jack with milk sick etc!  Will be napping this afternoon when he does to make up for the lack of sleep in the night!

    Hope we are all well.

    Morning all

HI wren, we had a terrible night in this house as well.  R woke at 1am and stayed awake crying til 4.  Despite cuddles, calpol, and in the end late night poker.  I got so upset about how sleep deprived I am going to be with 2.  I am completely on your wavelength.  Glad you managed to get some stuff done yesterday, this new child will only have vests Laugh

Well up most of the night with screaming child.  Had an interesting day yesterday.  The scan showed that the baby is big and that I have low fluid levels.  Got to have a scan next week to check on things.  Having thought things through I am thinking of having an elective section, but am going to wait for the next scan to make sure.  Going out for lunch at a fellow hitchers house today, but after last night I have decided that R is going to nursery so that I can have some rest this morning.

Hi Wren, sorry that you're awake with no outside influences!  I woke up thinking about birth and having two - this time next week we'll be running round on our way to the hospital - eek!  I'd forgotten all that about my clothes needing changing, though with me it was leaks rather than sick that caused all the necessary changes.  Hope you get some sleep today and have a lovely relaxing time at the hairdressers, I always enjoy the pampering (or at least someone else making me a cup of tea!).

Me - well, I saw the MW yesterday and all is fine, bp was a little high but no higher than booking in so nothing to worry about.  We put the buggy board on the pram and B loves it -- had to go round to Granny and Grandad's straight away on it!  We also made a list of jobs that need to be done - I really hope bump doesn't put in an early appearance!  Today we tackle the jobs, but we're all going out for tea this evening and going to look at the Illuminating York events that are on this week, a late night for B, but he should be fine.  Thanks for your support yesterday, I'm debating whether to phone and start the bridge building - but not going to get upset about it all.

Mazzy, hope the bp stays low, fingers are crossed.

    have lovely days everyone!

    Caroline 38+0 too!

Sorry CE, missed you!  I hope you come to a decision that is right for you re: the c-section, hope things become clearer for you after the next scan.  And hope you have chance for a nap this morning!

    Morning.

Wren - I'll join you in the 'bad nights sleep' camp. Tis grim.

Well, after my little jaunt to the hospital yesterday, I'm not feeling so rosey. The old noggin is on overdrive, meaning I just end up in a panic and stress about the whole thing, which clearly doesn't help matters one bit. Spent most of the night tossing and turning with all sorts of stupid things going round and round my head. I even verged into 'what if I don't wake up' territory at some rediculous hour, which just meant I was laying there staring at the ceiling worrying even more. Stupid stupid stupid.

Have yet another mw appointment later this morning, where they'll no doubt tell me my bp is still high. Will refuse going to hospital again though as I'm there for the same bloody thing tomorrow anyway. Is that stupid of me? I honestly don't know anymore.

I just feel like I'm failing totally at this whole thing now.

Sorry for the woe is me again.
    Hope everyone else is ok.

    Mazzy x

Hi Caroline, are you having an elective section?  Can I ask why?  I am just needing some help making that final decision!!  Glad things went well yesterday at MW.  I have far too many things to do too.  Some more important than others!

    Sorry, missed a few.

Caroline - enjoy your day today. Sounds busy, but nice.

CE - hope you come to a decision about the birth. You still have some time to decide yet.

CE - I have raised bp usually (work/stress related) and last time although it was fine all the way through pregnancy it went up right at the end, so I was admitted and induced and eventually had an emergency c-section.  I'm having an elective this time because I don't want to have the uncertainty (or should that be terror?!) before hand and because I had pnd symptoms last time related to it all, so consultant suggested it and I feel happy with it.

Mazzy - as you can see, I understand about the bp, and feeling like it was all going wrong - I really didn't want to be admitted or induced when I was.  But you are not failing at anything, it just something that happens and you need to stop blaming yourself or bp won't go down.  And even if it doesn't, it's not the worst thing, at least you are being monitored - and like you said, you can always stay away from the hospital until tomorrow whatever the mw says if you don't have any other symptoms.  Take care of yourself this morning, and give yourself lots of time to get to your appointment so that you get chance to rest before they measure!

Caroline, that sounds like a perfect reason!  Last time I was in labout for 2 days, never dilated past 5cm because R was face first and back to back.  Ended in a section because he was so stuck.  Seeing as this baby looks as though it is going to be another big one, I think that an elective is the way forward.  I had pnd last time as well.  I am just worried about the recovery time with 2 and the possibility it might make BFing hard again.  BUT having said that I could be in labour and end up with an emergency section anyway.

I think I am talking myself into an elective.  Thank you for sharing Hug

Thanks Caroline. Its nice to know I'n not the only one worrying about this sort of thing. Its the whole uncertainty thing thats getting to me too. I desperately want to avoid the hospital under all circumstances (unless absolutely necessary - I'm not daft enough to put this baby at risk). As much as I dislike the not knowing when labour will start, its expected, so I can deal with it. The not knowing about what could happen bp related is much much worse.

I'm concerned about the recovery with two too, but I'm hoping it will be better than recovering whilst still exhausted after induction and 24 hour labour!  We'll see, but B is well primed not to expect too much from mummy after little brother or sister arrives, and he is very good at playing or getting dressed and things like that.  BF was fine for me last time, so you may be lucky this time, I'm hoping that I will be!

CE - yeah, the tops are for me!  I never seemed to get the muslin in the right place with Jack, so thought I'd better stock up!  Baby has a ton of clothes from when we had Jack - we were given so much.  I've jsut bought a few new babygros so baby isn't just a hand-me-down baby!   Sorry you had a rough night.  Hope the next scan helps you arrive at a decision.

Caroline - glad that B likes her buggy board.  Enjoy your illuminating York events and hope that the bridge building goes well.

Mazzy - please try not to worry and stay calm.  If your BP is hign when they take it, could you ask to wait a few mins and take it again - chances are it'll come down for teh 2nd reading as you relax a little.  YOu are not failing - pregnancy is hard - you are sustaining a whole new life inside you, on top of doing all the things your body normally does.  Take it was`

Jack came to "help" and posted before I was done!

Mazzy - take it easy and keep talking to us.... chances are between the 3rd tri ladies there'll be several at least who share your anxieties and knowing you are not alone can really help.
