    Morning Lovelies!

I hope that you got some benefit from the extra hour....... I didn't, but it wasn't as bad as it could have been, but only because Jack was up crying and inconsolable at 9.30 for ages.   Think there is a mixture of a cold and teething and itchy skin (the increased dribbling has really irritated his chin and the base of his neck), and then feeling very sorry for himself as he was so overtired.  He wouldn't take calpol and would only settle with me holding him, but H had to stay in the room. In the end he did go back to sleep in his cot and slept to what would have been his normal time.... so we were up at the new time of 4.45am!  Anyone that talks about gaining an extra hour risks injury if they mention it to me!

Had a nice day yesterday.  Jack enjoyed his morning with his key worker from nursery - in fact she wore him out with full on play and he had an hour's sleep before lunch!   Whilst she was here I managed to photograph my maternity clothes and have started to list them on ebay - thought I better start selling some of it whilst I have a chance of getting to the post office with just the one child!  We then went for a carvery and I ate an impressive amount!  H took Jack for a bit in the afternoon and I had to forego knitting or anything else as I was so tired, so went and had a nap - much needed!

Baby is fine - lots of movement and  bump is getting even bigger..... I have finally got a photo last night, which I'll share when I've got it off the camera.

We don't have any plans today - probably will just stay at home and hope that Jack's cold clears up and he can sleep better without coughing.  Hope you all have lovely plans for today and did get an extra hour in bed.

Hope we hear news from RV73 soon and lots of vibes for SPud and Dylan soon.

extra hour my arse! I'm with you on that front Wren! An extra hour to sit on the sofa trying to find away to sit that doesn't hurt my hips or make my feet swell maybe!! Feeling auite guilty as H went to bed late in an attempt to make sure his sleep pattern is vaguly on track for work next week but I must have kept him up again because he has just got up too! oops! Hope Jacks teething and skin improve soon Wren and boo for not getting any knitting done! I got laods of painting done yesterday evening but sitting at the table made mt feet balloon! Think I might have to do into in the sofa from now on and cover the sofa and myself in a dust sheet! Bump is still growinghere to (how?!) I now have a 46 inch waist!!!

Nothing to report here really, still waiting for Sproglet to put in an appearance, or even make an attempt to! Friends coming over for lunch todayso you'd think that would have tempted fate, but not so far!! Right, best go make H a cup to tea to apologise for his lack of sleep (I'll nap later whereas he will just be tired and grouchy for work tomorrow!)

Hugs and vibes dished out as required

Morning Looby - we went to bed early in an attempt to gain the extra hour somehow, knowing that Jack wouldn't get the whole lie in thing, but as we were getting ready for bed Jack began his crying etc.  H's final words to me last night, after saying 'come and get me if you need me' (I slept in Jack's room) were "and don't even think of going into labour tonight" - that would've been a nightmare if I'd been otherwise engaged to deal with Jack as he was a mummy's boy last night!  It's hard not knowing exactly what the matter is - be so much easier when he can talk more.  Enjoy lunch with your friends today and hope you can get a good nap in there somewhere. Hope H forgives you for waking him.  Can't believe how close your due date is now!

    Morning all.

Wren – sorry Jack was unsettled last night. Sounds like you had a really good day yesterday and are very organised.

Looby – sorry you are also on the insomnia bench. It was good you got loads of painting done, but your poor feet! Enjoy lunch with your friend and I hope Sproglet decides to make an appearance soon. Hope you get a nap later.

Our cats need to be re-programmed with the time difference! One of them seemed to think that scratching on the bedroom door and howling to get us up at 4:30am is perfectly acceptable. Because I have been up so much before 5am recently, they seem to think I have slept in if I am not up by then and howl. They don’t need food and they don’t get let out in the morning – it is just someone to cuddle up against/ play with them.  Apart from struggling to get to sleep initially, I did seem to manage a reasonable few hours before they got me up. I am just getting very dehydrated at the moment! Have caught up on a little bit of work this morning and think I will head back to bed now the cats are fast asleep again... I just hope they don’t disturb me at different times from baby or I really will be in trouble!

We had a nice day yesterday – went shopping and out for lunch. I got fitted for nursing bras but I will need to order the correct size. We got a few bits and pieces for Christmas. I was so exhausted though and my feet were so swollen and painful last night. I seem to also have lots of little burst blood vessels around one of my feet/ ankles due to the swelling – has anyone else had that? It isn’t very severe and is mainly at pressure points eg where socks/ shoes may be rubbing. I had period like cramps and backache all day yesterday – I think it may just be baby starting to move downwards though as the bump had still been quite high up. I still seem to be short of breath though, but the kicks are a bit lower down and not directly under the ribcage now. Baby was incredibly active last night turning from side to side. Seems to be fast asleep this morning though!

Baby in/ out vibes to those who need them.

    Morning!

Noone told my toddler about the hour Sad either Wren, boo hiss!  I am completely with you about gloaters!  hope you have a lovely day

Hi Loobyg ooo hope you have tempted fate by inviting friends over!  Make sure they do the washing up!

All good here.  Very very very tired as we are staying at PIL and bed isn't my own.  Fri night was awful, dogs barked and woke us up at 3am then FIL alarm clock went off at 6am.  R was not best pleased.  I wept.  We went to my friends wedding and it was, as predicted, good fun when we got there.  I lasted til 10pm <proud icon> but am now tired.  At least I don't have a hangover!!  we will be spending the morning with in laws then setting off home after lunch.

    much love to all

Hi El11 glad you had a good time yesterday.  I really must go and get some new bras too.  Naughty cats!  I found that my dogs didn't bother us half as much once R arrived.  Here's hoping!

El11 - glad you had a nice day yesterday and got your bras sorted. My bump is lower now - it's great, I can eat more.... hence the big carvery yesterday! Hope you can reprogramme your cats - I'm hoping to reprogramme Jack - we even tried to keep him up a little later, but he just fell asleep quicker once we took him to his cot, so it didn't really make any difference!

CE - glad the wedding went well and I'm impressed you lasted until 10!  Gloaters about lie-ins better steer clear - never mess with a hormonal woman!

    Morning lovlies!

Wren - sounds like you and Jack had a lovely day yesterday and you managed to get lots done. Glad the mythical extra hour didn't mess up his sleep too much!

Looby - hope you and H manage to catch up on some sleep! Enjoy your lunch with friends.

El11- glad you enjoyed your day yesterday. Hope your ankles go down soon.

CE - glad you enjoyed the wedding and hope you manage to catch up on some sleep.

Pregnancywise everything ticking along here - Doozer is very active and the kicks verge on painful sometimes! Had a fab day with Bratski yesterday - he just makes me laugh so much! Although I was not impressed when he woke me at 6.30 am this morning - I didn't get my extra hour! He has his orange belt grading, so have to get him ready for that soon.

It's Mr K's birthday today, so will be going out for lunch somewhere I think. He didn't get in until 3am though so it could be a late lunch! Am super annoyed though as his parents have sent nothing at all. I know there has been a postal strike etc, but for their son's birthday you would think they just might have made a bit of an effort to get things here on time. I hope it's the postal strike anyway and not that they have just not bothered.

Hope everyone is well - baby in/out/turn vibes as needed.

    Morning,

Wren - Poor Jack (and therefore poor you!).  The carvery sounds yum, you've given me a craving for roast beef and chicken now.Smile

Looby - have a lovely lunch today and I hope you van catch up on some sleep.  Napping is fab!

El11 - do you think your cats are getting you ready for having a child?  My cat does the same sometimes and we have ended up propping the bedroom door open so she doesn't feel the need to scratch on the door at ridiculous times of the morning.  Instead she come and meows in my face, which isn't much better!

CE - I'm glad you had a good time at the wedding - 10pm is impressive, i think!  Shame about the terrible night's sleep though.  Maybe you can nap in the car (small child permitting).

I'm tired today too - I did some shopping yesterday and I just don't have the stamina for trudging round shops.  I was feeling a bit homesick so went to Accessorise, which has just opened here and pretended I was in Scotland (and bought a couple of bits and pieces).  I still feel like my pelvis has been wrenched open and am walking a bit like a cowboy.  It's not painful, just a bit uncomfortable sometimes, so I can't complain really.  Today, I am vegging out and possibly going for a swim if the rain stays away.  We've had some humdingers of thunderstorms lately , where the thunder literally shakes the house - rainy season is finishing, literally, with a bang!

God, I'm really rambling today!  I'm off for a nap - hope you all have a good Sunday.

Hi Kat - happy birthday to Mr K and good luck to Bratski!  I'm getting those verging-on-painful kicks too -  have I told you my theory about them being active in the womb/placid after they're born?  I so hope that's the case.Smile

mixie - hope you manage to get a swim in today. I must confess though, the thunderstorms sound fun - its ages since we had a really good thunderstorm over here! I hope your active baby theory is correct!

Kat - Happy Birthday to Mr K!  Hope Bratski does ok with his orange belt grading.  Extra hour - what a con!  I knew it wouldn't that way and even when I tried to go to bed early to try and gain my extra hour that plan was ruined - although I am sure jack didn't mean to!

mixie - sorry for making you crave a roast! Hope your pelvis pain eases up - all I can suggest is to follow the guidelines for SPD (keeping knees together, sitting down to put trousers etc on blah blah blah) and trying to limit lifting/carrying T.  If you are swimming no breaststroke for you either.  Hope you enjoy your nap - I'm planning on one of those later!

Wren you'd think being told not to go into labour would tempt fate (Im obesessed with fate at the moment - clutching straws I think as always scoffed at it before!

El, lol at your cats! Mine have learnt that scratching the door generally results in them getting a shoe thrown at them! They have the odd day where they decide 4am is a good time for breakfast, but generally they give H a dirty look for turning the lights on when he gets up at 6am for work. I tihnk you may need to start wearing loose socks and shoes though! Not had any burst vessles but mine are huuuge! A cold hot water bottle has become my best friend!!

CE: boo to a bad night sleep but yay to a fun wedding and having the in laws to wait on you for the morning! Hope the weather is better with you than it is here for your drive home!

Kat: good luck to bratski for his grading! and happy birthday Mr K

mixie: if you saw the weather in the borders today you would not be feeling home sick! Going to send H down the lane in a bit to check for tree branches to ensure that our friends can actually get through! thats assuminghe can get the front door open with the wind! COnsidering building an ark in case we need to go to the hospital today... Enjoy your veg and heres hoping you get your swim in!

Well H is in good spirits despite me waking him as Bradley Smith has just secured second in the 125motoGP championship! Its nice to have a half decent Brit in there for a chance! Sproglet usually goes mad when the bikes are on but is quite quiet so far - must be waiting for the big engines, or is knackered after having had hiccups for a good hour last night!

Just to make you all laugh.....

When I had Jack our neighbours were away.  Just as well as I gave birth in our ensuite which is positioned next to their ensuite and is one the rooms in both our homes where sound seems to to travel between our two houses.  They've been joking that they'll go away when I'm in labour, espeically if I plan to give birth in the ensuite again!  Anyway, they have gone away this weekend and Mr Neighbour has posted on my FB wall "You free to have baby now, we're off for the weekend"....... I'll just try to squeeze it out, shall I?!

    Morning Everyone

I have sneaked downstairs for a cuppa and some hitching before my H and DD surface. I am amazed that she is still asleep - she came along to our room and woke me at 6.30(now 5.30am I suppose) and tried to get in with us, but I took her back to her bed.  She went back into her own bed without any arguments but then lay there coughing for a good half an hour before dropping back off.  I wish she would shake this cough - she's had it for about a month now.

    Anyhow....

Wren - I expected to see you here early lovely but am glad you had a productive day yesterday and hope Jack too manages to get rid of his cough/cold.

Looby - Have a lovely lunch with your friends today and hope Sproglet decides to put in an appearance too. I can feel your frustration at wanting the baby out now.  With my DD I only got to 35 weeks so was completely unprepared but hope I might get nearer to term this time round.

El11 - Glad you had a nice day yesterday.

CE - Glad you enjoyed your wedding. Sorry to hear you've not slept well - hope you can catch up a bit at some point during the day.

Mixie -HOpe you manage to get a swim in and that your pelvis is not too painful

Kat - Happy BIrthday to Mr K  hope you all have a lovely day.

As for me, my cold is at last starting to clear up a bit, so H returned to our bed last night - he'd slept in the spare room for the past 2 nights as apparently my snoring was off the scale with my cold on top of being pg! I hope, fingers crosed, that I am getting over this tummy bug I've had too.  It started on Weds night and I've been existing on toast mainly since then. Yesterday I had poached egg on toast for lunch and then for tea we had Roast Chicken so I risked a smallish portion.  My tummy didn't complete rebel last night so I really hope it is on its way out now.  I've been a prisoner in my own home for 3 days now as couldn't risk being more than two minutes from a loo Sad Apologies in advance to Mixie for saying this but it was quite possibly the tastiest roast ever, after not eating really for 3 days.

Pregnancy wise, the bean is wriggling around quite a bit and apart from a bit of lower backache and hips aching a bit in bed at night, I am feeling ok. Tired of course, but not sure if this is just due to the toddler/pregnancy combo or the added complications of being ill this week. I have a midwife appt this week so am looking forward to hearing the heartbeat again hopefully and I suppose chatting about delivery a bit more.  Now I'm on the third tri thread the labour part is becoming a bit more real and I am quite nervous about it, despite it being my 2nd time.

Anticipating another lazyish day at home today. May take DD to the library later if I think my tummy will let me as it is not good for her to be cooped up indoors either.

Well baby out vibes to those that need them. Congrats to Plummary, GA and Debsie - hope we see some more BAs soon.

    Have a good Sunday all

    Bee x
