    Morning Lovelies!

Good Luck to RV73, GA (or should it be congratulations now?!) and Debs!  Guess that means we're all moving up the list again! Mazzy - enjoy your last day at work, wahoo!

Pregnancy insomnia had me awake from about 2.30am - lay in bed just resting, then felt hungry so had a banana.  Still couldn't get to sleep and then I heard Jack cry out again.  In the end at 4am when Jack cried out again I went to swap with H so that one of us could get some sleep at least.  So, H is sleeping and I'm in the playroom with Jack who just doesn't seem able to get back to sleep - perhaps he has insomnia out of sympathy with me?!  Thankfully, he's being lovely - just sat next to me looking at some books and watching some Thomas the Tank (thank goodness for being able to record stuff on the sky box!).

My MIL looked after jack yesterday so I managed to get out of the house without risking my back/hips lugging Jack - got some buttons for a sleeves cardigan I've made for myself and some for a cardigan I've nearly finished for baby.  I also got some more merino wool whilst I had chance.  I then did a little food shop.  After lunch I went for a sleep - much needed and could have done with longer, but the phone rang!  When MIL left I gave her everything for Jack for when I'm in labour - clothes, plate/bowl, blanket etc and I've re-checked my labour bag, so think we're all ready.

Pregnancy wise - baby is moving about and liked hearing daddy talk to him/her last night.  Apart from tiredness - insomnia does not help! - I'm fine.  I have the odd bout of period type aches, so guess my body is getting ready for labour.  Even though I know every labour is different it's hard not to expect it to pan out like Jack's and I'm more conscious of 'signs' than I was with Jack.

My parents are home from America today, so Jack and I are off to see them for a short visit as they have missed Jack so much- taking them some lunch.  Hopefully, he will fall asleep in the car on the way home and stay asleep when I transfer him into the house, so I can catch up on some sleep - having been up since 2.30am I'll need to catch up at some point!

    Baby in/out vibes as needed,

    Wren 37+2 x

Good luck RV73, hope all goes well, same to GA and Debs.

Wren, you really are going to be so prepared for those newborn night feeds - that's got to be some consolation for the insomnia - at least that is what I keep telling myself!  Hope you have a ncie day with your parents.

I had quite a nice birthday yesterday after thinking it might be a bit rubbish, the postie did actually deliver so I had some cards and presents, and H bought me a DS lite which I really didn't expect but he said since I will be a bit housebound after bump is out I might need something to distract me!  B bought me a huge bar of chocolate which was also very nice!  My mum is threatening to visit today - not sure where she'll stay since we had our bookcases changed yesterday so there are books everywhere, but since she rarely gives us any notice or choice about visits she can like it or lump it.  I also need to tell her that I'm having a c-section (only known myself since 20 weeks scan!) and that we don't want her to come up until bump is born - she'll drive me potty if she is here any earlier and I find it really hard to deal with the way she makes me feel at times.  Wish me luck!

    Have a nice day everyone!

Morning Caroline - glad your birthday was better than expected and yay for getting a DSLite - I'd like one, although with knitting, Jack and new baby I doubt I'd have time!  Good luck with your mum!

    Morning all

Good luck Rach – looking forward to hearing from you in a few days.

I hope things went well for GA yesterday and good luck to Debs.

Wren – sorry to hear you have been struggling with insomnia again. I’m glad you managed to get some rest yesterday and I hope you manage to get some today. I’m bad enough for monitoring for signs of labour, etc never mind if I had already been through it once before! How long have your parents been away for? I hope you enjoy catching up with them.

Caroline – glad you had a nice birthday. I hope things go OK with your mum. It sounds like it could potentially be very stressful, although I obviously don’t know the background. Does your mum live far away? I have said to my parents that I don’t want them to visit until H is going back to work so that I have 2 weeks with just me, H and baby – I know I have upset them but they would need to stay with us (6.5 hours drive and would struggle to afford to stay elsewhere) whereas the inlaws can pop over for a 30 min visit and I know having my parents stay would stress me out completely. I do feel very guilty about this decision though... I hope you are OK.

Midwife appointment yesterday was fine, although they are going to see me every week now as my BP is creeping up and even my H’s socks were far too tight on me. My feet are rather painful today from the swelling  - I only managed to get some of the cleaning done yesterday due to backache, etc. Oh well, I can finish it off today I guess... I hate being so slowed down.

A colleague came to view some furniture last night and help my H carry some of the heavier furniture downstairs as I obviously wasn’t able to help with much. They are going to collect it in the next few weeks – I just keep realising all the difficulties of planning ahead as H checks if a certain date is fine for them to collect the furniture and I think it will be if I am not in labour/ in hospital! I just get frustrated at not being able to plan ahead, but baby is still quite high up thumping me under the ribs so it looks as if they might take their time arriving.

Still struggling with sleep and feel so tired – woke up at 4am and haven’t been able to get back to sleep, so have caught up on some e-mails. Planning to go to John Lewis to get a nursing bra, etc fitted tomorrow. I will see if I can find some flip flops or something to put on my feet when we are out. I managed to squeeze my feet into trainers without the laces yesterday, but I don’t have any flip flops, etc that are nice and easy to put on.

I found knitting too involved last time somehow, at least the first few weeks - I think I was in a daze until about two months in!  I'm furiously trying to finish a jumper for B before bump makes an appearance - one sleeve to go!

El11 - sounds like you have a similar situation to me - ILs are just round the corner and pop in for a coffee (and look after B for me whilst I'm at work bless them forever!) whereas Mum has to come and stay (she could afford a B&B I suppose but I'm not brave enough to suggest it!).  We just don't really have much common ground and she is good at sulking (as am I I suppose!) which doesn't help.  Still, I don't think we're being unreasonable at wanting to spend our last day as a family of three together, and then since I have to be in hospital so early on the morning for my c-section she can't stay the night before.  And I want B to be the first visitor on his own, without any of the grandparents, though I'm happy for them to come later.  Fingers crossed she understands!

Hope you catch up with some sleep today!

Sorry ladies another flying visit from me this morning!

Good luck to Rachel, GA and Debs with your CS's today - will be looking out for your BA's!

A little paranoid here as my bump has visibly dropped a few inches and Doozer has shifted down as well - its a bit uncomfortable. However it's my last day at work today, so I promise to be a better hitcher next week!

Have a great day everyone, will read at work and catch up!

    Morning ladiesWave

Right, lots to remember this morning!

    RV - good luck today.

Debs - good luck today too!

GA - hope all went ok yesterday and you're now snuggling your little baby.

Wren - booo for insomnia, but yay for jack being good. Enjoy seeing your parents again. At least you can all relax a bit more now!

Caroline - glad you had a good birthday, and well done to B and your H for their present choices! Good luck with the mother.....mine is a handful too and there'd only end up being murder in the house if she came to stay.

El - yuck for the swollen feet. At least the mw doesn't seem too concerned. Just remember to take it easy. Again, another one with parents who just induce stress to all around them! Thank goodness we live 2 hours away from them!

Me - well.......<drumroll please>.......its my last day at work today! Woooooooooooo!Bounce
Ugh, I'm sooo relieved! Going to get cake on my way in this morning for everyone (thankfully the major numpties aren't in!), and then we're nipping to the pub for a quick drink after work, (which is handily just next door). Not planning on staying long as I have tonnes to do! Have a tallboy/chest of drawers thingamy being delivered today for our bedroom - so that we can get rid of the mangey old chest of drawers we do have and fit the moses basket in our room a bit more easily!. And also have <overexcited squeal> the new mattress for our bed coming today too. Frankly, this deserves more of a Bounce than the 'its my last day at work' thing!Laugh
I'm hoping to wake up tomorrow totally relaxed and refreshed from having slept on a comfortable mattress that doesn't jab you in random places with lumps, bumps and springs.Big Smile

On the Wigglet front, not had much action so far this morning, but not panicking just yet. He spent most of yesterday wedging his backside into my ribcge, which was ruddy uncomfortable! Things usually go quiet by Friday as I'm knackered out from work too, so we'll wait and see.
Also had my first 'have you had your baby yet?' texts yesterday.Weep
I've still got over 4 weeks to go....please don't tell me its going to be like this from now on?!Weep

Anyway, have a lovely day all. Vibes of all nature to those that need them.
Wave to laters and lurkers too.

    Morning ladies Wave

Wten boo for pregnancy insomnia, urgh.  Jack just sounds so cute, he must make it better... at least you have company when you can't sleep Laugh   Your day yesterday sounds great - it feels like forever ago that I could go off and 'do stuff'!  I hardly venture from home at all now and driving is so tricky I tend not to bother trying. Have a nice lunch and hope you manage a nap later.

Rachel loads of luck for today, look forward to your BA xx

Caroline belated happy birthday for yesterday.  Woohoo for the DS lite, I absolutely LOVE mine.  Good luck with your Mums visit.

El glad your appointment was all good.  You probably just need to try and slow down a bit, you're in late pregnancy and just can't do stuff like you used to (says me, the person who just can't admit that!).  I also sympathise with the frustration of not being able to plan - I'm a total control freak and hate not knowing when or how it will happen, although that is starting to ease for me now that it's all becoming so close and so real!

Kat yay for your last day at work!  Look forward to seeing you around these 'ere parts a bit more Wink

Mazzy woooohooooo for your last day at work!!  It's such a relief when you're finished and no doubt you'll feel wigglet loads more once you're off and relaxed.

I spent all day yesterday at the hospital after having high blood pressure at my midwife check on Weds.  They did loads of different monitoring and despite my bp still being high as everything else was fine they decided to let me come home, but gave me a sweep first.  Oh my frickin' word that hurt!  Anyway, it was worth doing just for her to be able to tell me that my cervix is 1cm dilated and very soft (good things) but still quite long (not so good thing) so she wasn't sure that it will necessarily do anything, but it was worth a go.  I was having pains most of last night but they seem to have eased off today.  Just playing the waiting game now....

Having the day out was shattering so today's plan is to do nothing very much.

    Good morning all!

Actually going to do personals today as got on here early enough!

Wren - insomnia is a nightmare isn't it? Enjoy visiting your parents and hope Jack gets some sleep for you!

    RV73 - Good Luck!!!

Caroline - Glad to hear you had a nice birthday. Good thinking of your H with the DS! My son has one and I play on it all the time at the moment!!

El11 - Sorry to hear you've not been sleeping well. Hope you can find something comfy for your feet. I'm one of those lucky people who just doesn't do swelling in pregnancy!

Kat - Enjoy your last day at work!!

Mazzy - you too! Enjoy your last day!

Dinx - hope you don't have too long to wait and that the sweep moves things along.

DNM - enjoy your relaxing and your haircut!

As for me, well, since my total meltdown on Monday, I don't seem to be doing too bad! The antibiotics seem to be clearing up the UTI and the Rinitadine is really helping with the heartburn and sickness. I'm still being sick but it's not as bad and not as full of acid (TMI!) so is not hurting my throat as much. Mentally I'm a bit stronger and keep telling myself that it's only 18 days to go which isn't long. Half term next week so got my H off for the whole week - he's already promised me a week of lie-ins!! Going to attempt to pack my hospital bag today - just got to iron some stuff!

Baby in/ out vibes to all who need them!!

Err - I think I may have just had a show - kind of (tmi) bloody discharge?  I know that can still mean things won't happen for a few days but it's got to be a good sign right?

Duck glad mw appointment went well.  Baby can engage right at the last minute as far as I know, so I think at brim is still OK isn't it?

CeliaWelia glad the antibiotics and rinitadine are helping.  Bleurgh for still being sick though you poor thing.
