    Morning! Wave

I am pretty perky today, having just woken up. A has been waking at 5.30 or 6 for the last week (since we put the heating on) so last night I turned the timer off as I came to bed. Looks like it has worked as I think she's still asleep! Great timing as H is away for 3 days.

I had a rubbish mw appt yesterday - was in and out before I blinked and only then remembered that i wanted to ask about my spd. I saw in my notes 'feeling well'. I absolutely did not say that, I am so tired all the time I could cry. I can only think that when I arrived in the room and she said 'hello, how are you' and I said 'fine, the door at the top of the stars was locked so next door had to let me in' (!) that she took that to mean 'I am generally feeling well'.

Also at the end she showed me the screen for me to pick a time for the next appt. I saw people's names on there - I recognised one of them too! So now I know someone is pregnant who didn't neccessarily want me to!

But, more importantly, I did hear the hb loud and clear and she has also booked me in with my normal mw for an appt that I don't think I should have, so I can ask about my spd then.

Have a good day everyone, hope everyone slept as well as I did?

    Morning all Wink

Sorry I have been a bit awol since I joined, I have been feeling really tired and nausea, today I feel great so fingers crossed it lasts. Have a day off work today so have a chance to post early for once!  Already been up cleaned and got a load of washing on!  Just a few more loads to do!

TG -   Sorry to hear about your rubbish MW appt, I cannot wait to hear the HB at mine, saw it moving on the scan but not heard it yet!

Hello to everyone else, hope you are all well and enjoying your pregnancy's.  I think I feel so much better as I outed myself at work yesterday so talk about relief, everyone was so nice and supportive and I have found out one of my colleagues is also pregnant and she lives close so thats a bonus and we are both expecting our first!

My clothes are getting a bit unbearable in terms of tightness and I did the dreaded deed of standing on the scales this morning, I am shocked Surprisethat I have gained so much so quickly so down the gym for me this morning!  Got a funeral service this afternoon and a house viewing after selling our house on the first viewing arggggghhhhhh!!!Confused

Hope u all have a good day

    Morning TG

Sorry your appt was rubbish yesterday but hooray for a loud and clear heartbeat!  Hope SPD doesn't cause too much trouble between now and your next appt.

I am actually up and showered early today, it is getting harder and harder to wake up with the dark and cold mornings but my hip has been hurting the past few days and was too painful to stay in bed this morning but I feel so much better for having time to wake up before running to catch the train haha

    I hope you're all well.

    Morning

TG sorry that the mw appointment wasnt great, glad you got to hear the HB and that it seems you have an extra appointment - which is just as well as you didnt get to discuss things anyway. That screen thing sounds a bit bad really.

Mrs SC - It's definitely a relief when some people know as the pressure is off to be 'yourself'. Hope you the house viewing goes well later.

digi - sorry that your hip is painful and that you have to get up in the dark but it's good that you didnt need to run today.

me - feeling all headachey and sorry for myself this morning, just feel sore everywhere. Think it didnt help that I tried jogging up the 3 escalators at London Bridge yesterday to try and catch a train and gok when I last did any exercise of some sort. I started getting some pain last night at the top inside of my thighs when I move and in bed all night it hurt and still this morning, especially when I move my legs or open them. Dont know if it was just a shock being out all day yesterday lol.

    Morning ladies.

TG - sorry the appointment was rubbish, I hate it when that happens!  We were so disappointed with our 20 week scan, the sonographer told us pretty much nothing, even  when I asked questions I got yes and no answers, no explanations.

I am jealous you heard the heart beat, I am 21+2 and still havent heard it!  Seen it at the scan but no one has attempted to listen to it yet.

Can someone tell me how I see the previous posts so that I can reply to everyone?  Is there a trick or do I need to open another window?

I have today and tomorrow to myself as A is at nursery and I am still on my days off.  I really need it aswell, SPD is killing me and I just cant rest with a 14 month old who isnt quite walking confidently so wants you to hold her hand everywhere!  I have physio again tomorrow so I will see what the girl says....other than dont walk up stairs, dont lift LO, dont lift buggy in and out of car, dont walk any distance......can  you tell she doesnt have kids or dogs?!

mrsJKN sorr to hear that the SPD is bad and that you dont get any rest either! I click on quick reply and the box moves up and down the screen so I can see the other posts. I dont know if there's a better way of doing it but it means I dont need to open another window.

    Morning all,

Having another easy day today as I have arranged an appt with a supplier at one of our sites nearer home and don't need to be there until 10:30 so quite a relaxing morning. Have been to the gym already and just running a bath to chill for a bit. Going out for dinner tonight so hopefully a nice relaxing day in all (you never know with my job though!!)

TG - sorry you had a rubbish mw appt, but glad you got to hear the heartbeat

MrsSparklyccat - I am also stressing about my weight gain, I have gained 16lbs since I found out I was pg. I don't know if you are fairly small anyway but I think if you are you can tend to gain quickly early, at least that's what people have been telling me. I am hoping it will stabilise. I am sure you have spoken to your gym team but make sure you are aware of maximum heart rates and what you are/aren't allowed to do

ds - sorry your hip is bad. When's your next mw appt?

Pip - I am sure its just your body reminding you not to over do things - hope you are going to spend the day resting and relaxing

MrsJKN - try and take it easy on your days off today and tomorrow.

Won't be back on til very late tonight so hi to all the laters and lurkers - have a lovely day

Morning all, sorry I havent been around these last few days, my H niece who is 24 only has a few days to live so have been up to see her and just being there for my lovely husband.

TG - Sorry mw appointment didnt go to well, I cant understand why some mw just want to rush you out the door, they should make you feel special not like a number. I cant believe she showed you the computer screen with everyones name on it, she obviously doesnt understand the word confidentiality.

At least you have had a good nights sleep, maybe you have cracked it.

Fantastic news about the hb, it is amazing when you hear it, I have been considering buying myself a dopler just so I can hear it again.

MrsSC - Must have been a relief to tell people at work, and the fact you have someone in work to share the experiance with is great, always better when you have a friend who is pregnant. I recently bought myself some maternity clothes and I am so comfortable, I dont know why I didnt do it earlier. Congrats on selling your house on the first viewing.

Digi - Hope your hip starts to feel a little better

Pip - Sorry your feeling poorly, headaches are a pain in the backside. I have been suffering with them also and even paracetamol doesnt shift it. Not long now till your gender scan is it, how you feeling about it?

Me - Yesterday I had the worst headache I have ever had, I took paracetamol and not even that shifted it, I just laid on the sofa for hours. I have been with suffering pains like period cramps which are slightly worrying. I have also decided to go to the doctors about my back as its effecting my hips and ribs now. Apart from that I am feeling fit and healthy Laugh

I have just finished reading a book and it was fantastic and funny, I reckonmend it to anyone, its by Jenny McCarthy and its called Belly Laughs:The naked truth about Pregnancy and birth

    Morning all!

TG - Sorry to hear the the appt didn't go so well - I remember our first with midwife was a big rush too, but at least you got to hear a good strong heartbeat.

Mrs Sparklycat - Hello Wave good to hear that your nausea seems to have passed. Good luck with the house viewing

Digi - the dark mornings are crap, arent they? I have to be in work at 8, so its pitch black when I have to get up! Hope your hip is going to get better

Pip - hope the pain eases throughout the day and it is just a wee strain or something

MRs JKN - have a fab day to yourself. I really hope the SPD gets a bit better with Physio. Must be so hard to cope with daily life!

CD - check you out already having gone to the gym! have a nice relaxing day and enjoy dinner tongiht

Zoe - paracetamol really doesn't cut it does it? I don't find it strong enough to deal with anything! I hope the pain in your back goes.

Me - well, things are still eventful!!! After the IL drama, things still aren't resolved between them and there was even talk of seperation..... I talked to my mum about it, just to let her know what was going on, and she told me that her and my dad have had lots of issues recently too.... not what I need to hear!

But then found out some bad news - a really close friend of mine had a family friend die on Sunday, her uncle die later that night, and her grandfather die on Monday afternoon...... I really don't know how she is going to cope. All 3 were terminally ill, but that does not make it any easier to go through 3 lots of grief in the space of 24 hours. I have already spoken to my boss about getting time off to go to at least 1 funeral to be there for my friend.

I always seem to be the bearer of bad news on here!!

    Morning all,

Twiglet Girl:- That’s good about A sleeping through, hope the next few nights are just as restful for you. Sorry to hear about your rubbish midwife appointment, how awful that she let you look at the screen and you saw someone’s name. I would be really annoyed about that if I was that person. Lovely that you heard the heartbeat! I can’t wait for that roll on November 2nd!

MrsSC:-Glad that you’re starting to feel better..! I know the feeling on the clothing front my trousers are ridiculous! Good luck on your house viewing!

Digi:- Boo to the dark mornings its hard isn’t it! Sorry to hear about your painful hip..

Pip:- Take it easy today :-)

MrsJKN:- sorry to hear that SPD is bad, hope getting some rest while your LO is at nursery helps a little.

CharlieDaisy:- Wave..I’m impressed with your Gym and bathing efforts at this time of the day! Enjoy your dinner tonight.

Zoe:- Oh dear Zoe…! Hope you feel better today. Im looking for a new book to read so may just check that one out!

Me:- I’m not too bad; seem to have a bit more energy nowadays. Still want early nights but the days are less tiring. Feeling a bit off today though bit sicky, hoping for a quiet day. Im getting increasing worried about the size of my bum and am starting to feel quite achey so I think I need a fitness thing, I had thought of the walking but realisticly im too cold! I would love to do a class but just cant afford anything extra with driving lessons that im having (£140 a month! Eek ). So I was thinking about a DVD has anyone tried any of the pregnancy ones? I might post and ask on main page but if anyone has any recs let me know!

    morning all

sorry i have been 100% rubbish lately and been on hardly at all. Been having a bit of a bad time of it and finally dragged myself to the dr this morning and I am now off work with stress Sad my job has been awful of late and I have found out that I could be made redundant at any time now, all in all its made me unwell.

On the upside, though, all is ok with bubs and I am hoping some time out will help no end. I will try and be back on here a bit often!

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all Smile I can't beleive I have made it to the second trimester post - I can remember thinking I would never get here, as 2nd Tri feels like 'properly pregnant' and i was convince I was dreaming it all for the first 12 weeks.

I look forward to charring with you all.

Yeah Pip it works doing Quick reply!  You are a genious!!

Twig - like OI said, sorry to hear your appointment was rubbish.  At least you have another soon where you can get more info.  You have my sympathy with the SPD pain, its just horrid.  Have you spoken to a physio?  They will be able to give you exercises and tips on how to ease things.

Mrs Sparklycat - enjoy your day off.  I also put weight on quickly to begin with but I dont seem to be putting much more on now though bump is definately growing rapidly the last few weeks.  Hopefully you will even out,  Hope the funeral goes well and you have some luck on the house front!

Digitalskittles - Hope the hip eases as the day goes on.  Would a long hot bath tonight before bed help?

Pip - try sleeping with a pillow between your knees, it might make you more comfortable, though it does make me overheat!  Also rather than opening your legs try to keep them together getting in and out of bed and the car.  When you are getting up from a chair, shuffle your bum to the edge and push up with your hands on your knees.  Taking the pressure of your pelvis and stomach muscles.

CharlieDaisy - enjoy your easy day and dinner out tonight.

Zoe - so sorry to hear about your niece, thats awful x Hope the headache stays away.

Lish - how terrible for your friend, thats so much to deal with in one go x

Kittyboo - I have the Davina DVD which I am enjoying, can only do bits of it now because of the SPD but even the relaxation bit it good.  I have also been going to aqua natal in my local pool.  Its only 2.50 a week and I am really enjoying it.
