Why do they do this? Tesco have changed the design of their nappies and they now leak for both my children.

So I'm going to have to change brand - does anyone know what other ones are like the 'old' tesco design?  Which other supermarket own brand ones are any good?

Yep, what a pain it is. Those nappies were perfectly good, and now we're having to change too as they have nowhere near the absorbancy they used to have. She only needs night nappies now. The only ones we've found that don't leak (other than Pampers night time) are Boots own brand night time.

Grumble grumble. I've been using the green packet ones and they've been great. Until the last pack, then I noticed the dreaded "new and improved", which never means that. Grrr.

Not sure about other own brand ones, I mostly shop at tesco. I did get the Sainsbury's Eco ones a wee while back which were fine. I used Boots ones years ago and didn't like them, but they could have been "improved" by now.

So far we've not had any leaks with them, but I do miss the elasticity of the back of the nappy.... it's just odd now. But as we're not leaking we'll carry on with them.

Glad it's not just us that's suffering - wish they'd ask us before deciding to "improve" their products. The old ones never leaked. I can't face having to experiment wih loads of other brands to find one that works for my lot.

oh the joys of new and improved!

we have been using asda own nappies for ages on both children and are very pleased with them, no nappy rash at all, no leakages at all from Charlotte (just turned 2) and I think in total Louisa has only managed to explodapoo out of the nappy about 5 times in total (she is 22 weeks now) and those were when we were using pampers that we had got on offer! also they don't pong as much as some of the others I don't think.

    reasonable price too.

Thanks ladies, I'll pop off to asda and sainsbugs and see if either of them are any good then.

The problem we have with the nappies is that the new ones don't seem well fitted enough around the inside of the thighs, and poo leaks out (both of mine do fairly liquid poos unfortunately).

Oh well, maybe it will give me the impetus I need to potty train DD (2.5) ... !

sainsburys might be better then if it is a leg fit thing, we find their nappies a bit too tight for our 2 who are both very chunky in the thigh and bottom department

Another vote for the Asda own brand, D has really skinny legs and we don't get any leaks. Much prefer them to Pampers, which left him with a red line around his tummy.

I wanted to go out and change the world but I couldn't find a babysitter.

I have always used tesco nappies but with the new ones I have been up for the last two nights with my son absolutely soaking, sheets etc to change.  Nightmare.  Really glad I got 160 something of them last week now......... NOT!  Gutted as no other convenient supermarkets etc near us and not prepared to pay for pampers etc.

Alexm - doesn't help with finding an alternative, but I plan to take my extra ones back for a refund as they are no good to me. They'd better be giving me a refund too - 'new and improved' my foot...
