  • Holiday ideas please

Hello from a lurker. I wonder if anyone can recommend a holiday for 2 adults and a 2yo please. UK based, September availability, ideally somewhere like Center Parcs/Bluestone (ie self-catering with a nice pool in case it pours down all week, not really bothered about other organised activities) but a little cheaper, as neither seem to be doing decent offers atm. We can travel anywhere.

    Thanks in advanced.

    Butlins?

  • Re: Holiday ideas please

I'd not thought about Butlins actually, thanks I'll check it out. I admit to being a bit of a snob, although I'm sure I read something recently about them having been tarted up a bit recently. Hmmmmm, could be a go-er.

    Haven?

    maybe google child friendly hotels?

  • Re: Holiday ideas please

Thanks, I've looked at Haven and Butlins but nothing is grabbing me. I was quite impressed with some of the Hoseasons places, and they're super cheap, but the Tripadvisor reviews are hideous for most of them.

I think I am after a private holiday park with a good pool. If anyone has stayed in one that they would recommend I'd really appreciate it. I don't mind the type of accomodation v much (well, as long as it's clean) i.e. we could cope with a caravan, but we really need to be able to put my daughter to bed in the evening so something with a separate lounge rather than a hotel room if that makes sense.

Maximum budget is probably £100 a night, but we could do with paying less than that if possible.

We are probably going to Haven at Devon Cliffs in October but booking through this website

    www.newhols.com

They seem to have much nicer caravans and you can get a pretty good one for £300 per week, including use of the entertainment facilities if you want that sort of thing.
