Another 'clutching at straws' post from me lol

I'm currently 10dpo after IUI and yesterday afternoon (9dpo) I started spotting with brown blood which changed to red by nighttime.  It carried on this morning and I was sure that it was AF coming early.  However, this afternoon it has practically stopped although I'm still getting pretty strong AF pains in my abdomen and lower back.

AF is never normally early but I'm pretty sure that my bleeding was much too heavy for implantation bleeding.  Has anyone had any experience of heavy implantation bleeding or am I really just madly clutching at straws?!

P.S. It was a natural IUI cycle so I've not taken any drugs this month.

I have no experience of this so hopefully someone better than me will come along in a minute but just wanted to wish you lots of luck and I really hope this was totally normal implantation bleeding for you

I have no experience of implantation bleeding myself but I've know quite a few of the TTC girls thinking they were out of the running when they started bleeding and some have even said that their bleeding was heavy enough for a period and yet they were still pregnant.

I can comment on the pains though as I had awful, awful pains at 9, 10 and 11dpo - I was convinved AF was on her way only to get a BFP at 14dpo. The pains were probably as bad as the worst AF pains I've had, so cramps aren't necessarily a bad sign either.

Thanks girls.  Hmmmm, yes I had AF pains from day 13 when I was pg with my LO so I guess there may be some hope?  Aargh why did this have to happen this month??  My cycles are usually quite regular so if it is just a wierd cycle then why this one!  I'd rather know one way or the other, false hope is driving me INSANE!!

Will let you know the outcome, one way or the other.
