    Morning Lovelies!

I'd hate to  buck a trend, so I'm up early once again!  Wouldn't be so bad , but when I settled Jack in the night after he woke I couldn't get back to sleep for ages and am now shattered.  Had a lovely weekend - went to a wedding on Saturday.  Would have loved to have stopped longer, but I was shattered and achey.  Yesterday my H took Jack and let me have  a rare lie in until 9.30am and then he took J out for 2 hours in the afteryternoon to give me a bit of time to myself.  Much needed!  He's at nursery this morning, so I have another few hours to myself - must get my jobs done though, thankfully they're all admin type jobs so I can sit down with a cup of tea!

Baby is getting more wriggly and I can now feel limbs poking my bump now.  Jack was really cute yesterday.  We've been saying there is a baby in my tummy and pointing/patting my bump.  Yesterday when H asked where the baby was he lifted my top and patted my tummy Fluffy  At just one year old it's hard to know what he understands, but everytime I see a little baby irl or a book I do make sure I point it out to J and say it's a baby.  In preparation for baby we are working on teaching J to 'pass nicely' as opposed to throwing and also to be gentle.  Just when I think he's getting it, he goes and chucks something at me or the laptop - playfully, but don't think I want him to be chucking things into the moses basket at baby!  On Saturday he knocked the 'k' key off my laptop when he threw a building block at it!  Luckily, I could get it back on.  We'll keep working on being nice and gentle!

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend.

    *Mazzy sneaks in sheepishly*

    Morning all.Wave

I've been a bad bad hitcher and gone AWOL again...not intentional though, I promise! I genuinely have a heeeeuuuuuuge list of reasons why I've not been around, and sadly, none of them are that exciting! Lets just say I've been rediculously busy.
A little sum up of what's been going on in the Mazzy household lately:
-been to the rentals, and since then the father dearest has been in a foul mood for no apparent reason. While there though I spent a lovely day with my best friend and we found her wedding dress. She looks beautifulLove
                  - Had a HORRENDOUS shopping trip while there for a pushchair with the mother and MIL (which turned into a family outing as a number of other family members tagged along). Cue opinions flying all over the place and a very stressed and overwhelmed and panicky mazzy stuck in the middle.  Suffice to say, we got nowhere. And I'm ashamed to say, yes, there were tears.Embarrassed
                  - Been trying to sort out the major stuff for Wigglet. Over the last few weekends we've managed to get most of the basic clothes we think we'll need so at least he won't be permanently starkers! Also got bedding, stuff for the nursery, pushchair and carseat (which H and I both agreed on, without the 'assistance' of the rentals), cot and some other bits I can't remember!Laugh
                  - Also cleared out the box room which is now the nursery. Took much much longer to sort than we'd anticipated due to the incompetence of the previous owners and the rubbishness of the walls. We've been sanding, painting, glossing and painting again to the point where H and I have frankly lost the will to live. Thankfully its done now, so the cot is up (after ALOT of swearing yesterdayLaugh) and Wigglet's stuff now has a home. Still have a few bits to get such as changing table, chair, curtains and curtain pole, and a couple of shelves, but its finally getting there!
                - Also had piggy flu to contend with. Not me or H thankfully, but we've both had a cases of it at work, so spent time trying to find out what to do about that. We're not worried at all, but figured it's best to follow work policy in case anything does happen. Been such a faff!! Also means we've been seriously short staffed so work has been a nightmare.

Add to all that the fact that I've never EVER been so tired exhausted in my life, and its been pretty hectic round here!
Wigglet is living up to his name and wiggling about LOADS, and in fact getting pretty violent now! Had a panic on Saturday as I hadn't felt anything at all,(cue tears again......this is NOT like me!), but after a nap, and some food, Wigglet made it clear that he'd just been having a lie in! That'll teach me, eh!Laugh

Phew.....that was a bit of a mammoth post! Well done if you've not drifted into a coma by now!ROTFL

Oh and Kat.....I've just got your FB message....thankyou for your concern lovely.Hug

Right, I'd best get ready for work now. Booooooooo. Have lovely days all, and Wave to those on later.

    Morning!

Wren it sounds like you have had a lovely weekend - 9.30 - I am jealous! Jack sounds like he is being adorable as well bless him, I am sure he will be fine when the baby comes. Blimey, you are another one for whom the 3rd tri beckons in a week or so! Where has the time gone?

Mazzy! The wanderer returns! I am relieved to see that you are ok though.

It sounds like you got lots done though - well done! Sorry to hear about your parents/the shopping trip though. Are you going again with family to choose a pram or going on your own next time? It also sounds like you need to take it a bit easier - don't make me come down there!Laugh

As for me, Doozer seem to enjoy bunching himself up right underneath my ribs lately so I appear to carrying a huge high bump. Maybe it's comfortable for him, but it's certainly not for me - stubborn little thing won;t move no matter how much I prod him! Was fab last night though - he was kicking like mad and Mr K could really, really feel them. Bratski then wanted a go (he normally pretends to have felt something!) so Doozer was kicking away. Bratski's face lit up and he said "I can feel little bumps!", so I  think he actually properly felt something this time!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Wave No further pram shopping trips are required, thankfully! The pushchair and carseat we got are the travel system type ones so they click together. Much much better for us, definitely! Am certainly pleased as it was causing us no end of grief trying to decide.
And as for taking it easy......I wish I could! There's no time in the day left once we've got everything that needs doing done! Hopefully once the major stuff is out the way H and I can relax. He's been fab and is totally worn out too, bless him.

Glad to hear Doozer is being lively, and that your H and Bratski can feel him.

Wren - J sounds really sweet! He must understand the general idea of whats going on by the sounds of it. Good luck with the 'be gentle' training!

    Morning!

Katamari and Wren - your little-uns made me almost go all weepy (damn hormones) - how sweet are they?!

Mazzy - welcome back!  I'm shuddering at the thought of an en masse pram shopping trip, no wonder there were tears.

I'm really tired today and my stomach is very achy.  I've had a nap which seems to have helped, but I really don't have the energy to chase a toddler round today.  T starts at playschool next week, so we had to go and buy his uniform this morning (for a 2 year old - I know, I know.  It's just the school t-shirt and his own shorts though) and I'm feeling weepy again at the thought of letting my first-born boy go. It's only 3 hours, 3 mornings a week, but I'm dreading it!

Wren, I hope that you are feeling a bit more rested now.  I am sure that J will soon get the hand of being gentle with the baby when it is here.

Mazzy Wow no wonder you haven't posted it sounds very busy, I hate when people stick their opinions in without asking grrrrr.

Kat, how fab that bratski got to feel some kicks.

As for me, nothing much going on re baby still feeling movements now and again and trying not to worry if I don't feel anything for a while. I am meeting a friend for coffee this afternoon and just have general house cleaning duties to get done this morning Joy!

    Morning all.

Wren - good luck with the 'gentle training'. Glad you managed to get a lie in over the weekend.

Mazzy - sounds like you have been really busy and are very organised for Wigglet. I couldn't cope with taking my mum/ MIL on a shopping trip for prams never mind it becoming a family outing!

Kat - It sounds lovely that Bratski is excited about feeling baby moving as well.

Mixie - I'm sure T will have lots of fun at playschool. A uniform for a 2 year old does seem quite strict... I guess it is good practice for school.

I am just being really indecisive about all the baby things we need. As soon as I seem to have made my mind up about eg a pram, I find something else/ start to have doubts about that one, etc. As a result, we don't have much in the way of things for baby. We had pretty much decided on the Mamas and Papas switch and it was then out of stock and 'may' be in their new catalogue.... We are now settling more on the Concord Neo. I think we are going to go for the Cosatto Hogarth nursery furniture - we went and had a look at that in Kiddiecare.com at the weekend. We have now booked on paeds first aid and resus course.

I am worried about buying things too soon - does anyone else worry about that or is that just me being irrational?

I have a private 4D scan booked next weekend - hopefully we will find out the sex then. Baby wouldn't let us see at the 20 week scan!

Hello to all those who post later.

Morning everyone, hope you had good weekends, i did though H was working but he's off this weekend, hurray!!

wren, ah Jack sounds lovely, hope he gets better at the passing!

hi mazzy, glad you're ok and you have been busy!!

katamari, sounds like doozer is comfortable up near your ribs, hope it isn't too uncomfortable for you.

mixie, my bump was achy last week and not been as bad, i thought a few naps helped too but its fitting them in!

19+5 today!! had more movements yesterday and a few this morning which is good, they are unregular at the moment but its nice to feel them anytime and they are more than the light butterflies i had a week or so ago.

Had a bit of a car hunt yesterday with H and after me saying i didn't want another punto i think i do coz i didn't see much i liked and they are reasonable price, so i might change my 2004 3 door punto and get a bit of a newer one, maybe 2007 5 door punto, will go and have another look later in the week.

    xx

    Morning all!

Wren - glad you had a nice weekend - good luck with the being gentle thing.

Mazzy - Jeez, you have had a lot going on! Am so impressed you have a cot built!!

Katamari - Bratski's comments are so cute! Little bumps, how sweet!

Mixie - hope you get some rest today...hope that your little one going to preschool isn't too stressful.

kmw - don't worry too much about the movements. I didn't feel anything really until 19 weeks and even then it was quite fluttery.

El11 - It's a nightmare deciding what you need isn't it? A paeds resus course sounds like a good idea - where did you find out about that through?

JBB - I need to go car shopping too - I hate car shopping! Shoe shopping is much more fun!

Suzi Q - bet you can't wait for your scan!

Meggy - glad your scan went well!

As for me, still in a lot of pain from my urine infection. It's not really easing with the antibiotics which I've been taking since friday. Not at work, and feeling guilty but my tummy and back are both sore and I wouldn't be much good to anyone anyway. Can't help feeling bad though. Think I'll phone the docs later and ask when the tablets should be starting to work by.
