    Morning Lovelies!

Hope we are all well and having a lovely weekend.  Apart from being up at 5am, I am having a lovely weekend.  Jack has had a lovely birthday weekend - LOTS of presents and he just seems to be in the middle of a real explosion of learning.  He's very 'shouty' and desperate to talk and seems to understand so much.  We got his first shoes yesterday - a bit early, but we want to have some protection on his feet so we can let him have a toddle about outside.  As he isn't walking confidently and it's more about just protecting his feet we got the cheaper cruising shoes rather than walking shoes - he's likely to need new ones in about 6 weeks and I think the cruising shoes will take the wear they'll get.

I told H that I wanted a proper camera for my 30th in October like his (but not so expensive as his is a £500+ canon slr) as I am fed up of him taking fab photos of Jack, but I never get access to them as they are on his PC etc.  Anyway, we looked on E*bay last night and he got me a lower model of a canon slr - think it's a 350d.  I can't wait to be able to get good photos and be in control of the photos and where they are stored and getting them printed!  I was shocked he went and got it last night, but he said I might as well get started!  Yay!

Not only is it Jack's birthday weekend, but it's our 2nd wedding anniversary today!  I can't believe how quickly 2 years have gone by and am pleased to report that we are still as happy and in love as we were 2 years ago.  I feel so lucky - I have a lovely, lovely little boy, a wonderful husband and I have a little sibling for Jack on the way.  Life is very, very good.

Pregnancy wise - indigestion comes and goes..... curry on Friday night didn't help!  I have a bit of pain in my lower right back - just to the left of my right hip.  I have pretty much all the time, but it's not too bad - need to try to limit how much I carry Jack and also watch how I sit etc.  Having said I wanted a big beanbag or cushions for the floor to help me be supported when playing with J on the floor, my SIL got Jack a supersize beanbag for his birthday - its's just perfect for me!  It is really helping me sit more comfortably on the floor and jack will benefit from me being able to play more with him.

I hope that everyone else is having a fab weekend - what is everyone up to?

    Morning Wren!

Sounds like you are having a fab weekend with Jack's birthday and your wedding anniversary. What a lovely, positive post - enjoy it!

I'm grumpy because I have been promised sleep ins all weekend, but my brain won't switch off or I wake up at my usual work time which results in me being up early with backache.Bawl You can bet that tomorrow when I have to be up anyway, I will be tired and want to stay in bed. I can always have an afternoon nap, but it's not the same!

Bratski has his ju jitsu grading for his yellow belt this morning, then we are off to the Riversway festival down at the docks for the day. It looks like fun, there's boat races and steam trains which Bratski will love.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Katamari 21+3 xx

MOrning Katamari!  I've given up on sleep ins - even when I do arrange one with H I can't sleep in!  I've been doing all the night shifts lately as I just cope better on the broken night's sleep, but am starting to feel it catching up with me, so H is going to take J out in the afternoon so I can have  nap.... just hope I can manage to sleep a little!  Enjoy the Riversway festival - sounds fun!  We've got J's Great Nan coming this morning - we normally pop to hers (she lives a few blocks away) but thought it'd be nice for her to see J with his toys.  Then we might nip to the farm later.   Good luck to Bratski for his ju jitsu!

I bet J has been hopelessly spoiled over his birthday weekend - has he realised the occasion or not?Big Smile

Bratski should pass his grading (fingers crossed). The dojo do a mock grading about a 3 weeks beforehand and if they don't pass that, they don't get put forward as they have had some bad experiences in the past with kids being unable to handle failing (although they did say the parents were worse!). He is very excited about getting his yellow belt, and is itching to get to his green belt as they are allowed to do ko budo (weapons) then! It's lovely to see him have such a great hobby - he has really taken to it and it's done his confidence the world of good.

    Morning peeps. Wave

It sounds like you are having a lovely weekend, Wren. And double woo for your new camera. My H is a photographer, so when he upgrades I get his cast offs, which is very nice for me. Smile Plus we get lovely photos of every family occasion. I can't wait for him to have the new subject of our baby to shoot!

Kat, it sounds like you have a busy day planned! I hope Bratski (and you!) enjoy it.

Well I am up early as I dropped H at the station. He is shooting a christening today. It's the first time he has done one, so it's a bit of a branch out for him. I actually really like being up so early. I said to H that it is lovely to see the early morning, shame I don't get to see it very often, and he said well you soon will! Good point. Laugh

I am going to have another lazy day today. By (unintentionally) doing nothing yesterday I managed to get my BP lower, which I was very pleased about. I really do have to mow the lawn though.

Right, time for a croissant, me thinks. Big Smile

Morning j15ess - it's fab having a photographer with a baby (it's  hobby for h, but he's pretty good for an amateur!),  but he's rubbish at getting photos printed or sharing them, hence me wanting my own decent camera that I have sole charge over!

Katamari - J definately knows it's been a special weekend.  He got lots of present, so much so H and I decided not to buy him anything just yet.  We'll get him something as we see a developmental need. Last month he got a £40 ride along/push along train tro support his walking attempts, so it's not like we don't buy him things. We're on the look out for some baby jigsaw puzzles - the ones where the pieces have little handles, as he hasn't got any of them and think it'd be good for him.  I think hobbies, whatever, they are are really benificial.  As a teacher, I see so many kids who are forever saying they are bored and have no hobby apart from moaning about being bored!

    Morning!

Wren - what a lovely weekend and happy 1st birthday to Jack

Katamari - good luck to Bratski - sounds like you all have a lovely Sunday planned.

j15ess - Early start on a Sunday?  Nooo! Get back to bed while you still can!  Laugh

I'm having a very lazy day today - T is having his nap, but we're all going to go to the pool when he wakes up.  We've been telling T that he has to help me lots when the baby comes and now when you ask him what he'll do, he says 'help with clothes, help with nappies and show it how to bounce'!Laugh.  Baby bunting is kicking for Britain today.  T hardly kicked at all  and now is the duracell bunny in toddler form, so I'm hoping active in the womb = nice and quiet later on!

    Have a great Sunday everyone.

    Morning ladies Wave

So much for me not being back on here til after the holiday Laugh H is packing the final bits into the car which are too heavy for me to lift Wink so I thought I would put my time to good use by Hitching!

Wren - Happy Birthday to J and Happy Anniversary to you and your H, what a lovely weekend. And yay for the camera too - H and I have decided to get a nice camera before the baby comes too and I may well have to wrestle it off him.

Katamari - I seem to be way past the stage where lie ins are possible too, how annoying. I just find you need to nap as much as possible during the day, but no it's not the same and I imagine very tricky with a little one around.

j15ess - enjoy your croissant Stick out tongue and lazy day, I hope that mowing the lawn is as hectic as it gets.

I think Monkey may have had hiccups earlier, although I'm not clear on how you know for sure? I was feeling movements in 2 places at once, and they were totally synchronised, so it felt more like a whole body jerking movement than plain old wriggling. It was quite funny, poor little thing Smile

I am loving feeling the baby so much and am wearing my (now quite significant) bump with pride. Right, I had better go and look like I am helping to get ready for the holiday Embarrassed I hope you all have a lovely week, and here's hoping the sun shines in Somerset -  oh and that I managed to track Johnny Depp down in Bath tonight!

    Have a great week.

Hello, today is day two of the great Ikea wardrobe assembly event so the in laws are due round in an hour or so. Must say they are looking impressive to far - 3 m worth of carcases were assembled by H and FIL yesterday. Scary to think my clothes are actually going to be organised...

    Morning.

Wren what a lovely first post for the thread on this rainy Sunday.  Sounds like you're having a lovely weekend with Jack's birthday and your wedding anniversary.  Exciting about your camera too, at least now you'll have time to get used to it before the baby comes and can practice on J!

Kat I'm just the same - on weekdays when the alarm goes at 6.30am I can't get out of bed but on the weekends I can't sleep in.  It's really frustrating.  Sounds like you've got a great day planned, good luck to Bratski for his grading.

J15ess have a lovely chilled out day, sounds like it's good for your BP.

mixie T sounds so cute!  It's lovely feeling them kick isn't it?  George seems to be really moving around loads at the moment.

Smarties hope you managed to find Johnny Depp Laugh  When are you off on hols?

My day didn't go quite as planned yesterday, I spent the morning doing housey chores but Mum wasn't free to help with the dresser and as it's at her house we ended up postponing painting that, so I had a lazy afternoon instead.  We got a chinese in the evening then it was an early night for me.

Am really struggling to get comfy in bed at night and it hurts every time I try to turn over.  I spoke to the mw at my 25 week appointment about the pain but she just said I need to exercise more.  I'm trying to get out and about and walk but it's hurting so I'm going to bring it up again at my 28 week appt.

Other than that I'm actually feeling pretty good at the moment (touch wood Laugh).  I've spent so much of this pregnancy feeling rough with morning sickness in the first tri then a horrid virus lasting for the majority of the second tri.  It's nice to be feeling a bit more human at last.  If only I didn't have this horrid pain I'd be well away!

Not sure what to do today, think it's going to rain on and off most of the day so probably won't do anything very much.

    Morning all,

Wren sounds like you have been having a lovely weekend.

Katamari, I hope that Bratski does really well , I hope that you manage to get  nap this afternoon.

J15ess, oh jess I really want a croissant now mmm, I will have to make do with some toast, don't do too much today if your Bp is high.

Mixie, have a lovely day today, it is so fab when they are kicking lots.

Smarties,  make sure you take it easy and don't do too much packing lol.

LBP, I hope that they manage to get the wardrobes up today.

Dinx, I am so sorry that you are in so much pain, I would keep bringing it up with the mw untill you get some answers, I am glad that you are feel better in yourself though.

As for me I had an awful nights sleep last night I was still awake at 1.30 and was tossing and turning until 4.30am when I finally fell asleep thankfully the boys let me sleep until 9am and I might take to my bed later on.

On the baby front i haven't felt any movement over the last few days I am trying not to get worried though as I am only 17 weeks and figure that i am missing them when they happen and what the betting that now i have posted I will get some lovely big movements.

Nothing much planned today we tided up some rubbish from the back garden ready to take to the tip so Mr kmw is going to do that and I had a good tidy up in the house yesterday so we might see if we can get out somewhere.

Well I managed an hour back in bed and had a really bizarre dream in which I gave birth in the middle of a gun siege to a baby girl and called her Fabia.ROTFL

Mr K also felt a proper kick from the baby, so this waking up is going better than the last one!

J15ess - croissants sound lovely. Have fun in the garden, but take it easy!

Wren - thats what we tend to do with Bratski. We don't go all out at birthdays and Christmas as the rest of the family spoil him, we just get him a couple of nice presents and then buy as and when we feel he needs something. I totally agree with you about hobbies, thats why we started Bratski young. Plus I like the self defence aspect of it as well, I worry less about him being a target for bullies as he gets older.

mixie - how lovely of T, bless! Great that you are getting so many kicks as well.

smarties - have a lovely holiday!

Little Bo Peep - have fun with the DIY and the in laws!

dinx - I hope you get the pain sorted, great news that you are feeling better though lovely. Maybe the 3rd tri will be illness free? <fingers crossed>

kmw - I hope you do manage to get somewhere today. Its a bit wet, but we are still goingto battle on out to the Riversway festival anyway. I am sure you will feel some movements soon - my tip is full fat coke. It never fails to give Doozer a bit of a boost!
