Oh dear - nice you have some sympathy there though!

    Hope you feel better soon

I am going to mention anorexia sites. I was going mad at her saying they should be banned though. Er... how?! And it's not illegal to be anorexic. Different people find different things distasteful - they're not for me but they are for some people. Obviously illegal things should be banned.

Et voila! There's my essay ROTFL

Brilliant - 100%, just a little bit more padding and you're there!

Hey - how are you getting on? I submitted on Tues but it was a bit down to the wire. If I'd not been working late on Wed it would have been probably 11.59pm before I sent it in, I sooooo wasn't happy with it. I did the Distant Past though. Did enjoy the chapter re unequal argument but when it came to it I decided I was doing this because I want to do Lit ,so much as I enjoy a good debate (and prob would have found it easier) I chose the story option to see if I had any aptitude. We shall see....I sort of enjoyed it but found it really really difficult to actually answer the question! Then again, I really enjoyed Benin and thought I'd done ok, but got the worst mark I've had so far on that TMA so there's no telling, is there.

Remind me what your new course is? I've signed up to A210 and have all the set books sitting on the kitchen counter waiting for me....no course materials yet though, doesn't start till Oct.

Went to the Roman villa at Lullingstone today, a bit of ECA prep.....not sure how much I got out of it that will be useful (don't even know for sure that I'll do that question). Can't believe we're at the ECA already. Got to to TMA 7 this weekend, get that out of the way, then crack on with book 4....

good luck with it - hope you get it finished!

I'm getting a bit fed up with it at the moment tbh, I found the Burial at Thebes chapter quitedull and a bit patronising in the language at least.  We went to see a version of Antigone right at the start of the course, which was quite good so I thought it would be more interesting that I found it.  I really enjoyed the liberalism chapter and we had a good tutorial on it a couple of weeks ago so thought I'd run with it for the assignment, and of course not having finished the assignment I haven't even started on Book 4.  I'm very peaks and troughs but I expect I'll be up to date again by Monday.

I've signed up for L192 but it doesn't start until November so I'm doing DB123 as a stopgap just to keep me active, but having had a quick flick through it looks quite interesting.

You're keen doing TMA7!  I plan to leave at least a couple of weeks before I even open the assignment booklet again!

I have a 3000 word case study to write and about 4 months worth of supervision notes to type up.I also have a portfolio to finish. Roll on the 30th June when my life will be assignment free after 4 years of studying!

i just finished a 10 thousand word lit review on the non pharmaceutical treatment of gastro-oesophageal reflux in infants.

still have a report to finish and 2000 words on the finance of the nhs. eugh.

i think red dwarf comes first

  • Re: Going to be a wasted weekend

Have to say i largely ignored the Burial at Thebes...I did read the play, it didn't take all that long, and read the chapter, but didn't spend any length of time on it. My (well, someone else's, but it works for me) theory is that if i do tma 7 now, then i can concentrate on book 4 and the eca.

  • Re: Going to be a wasted weekend

Sounds like a plan - I was hoping to finish the whole thing earlier, but I do like to have a bit of a break between assignments (although this time I think I've taken the break before rather than after!)

  • Re: Going to be a wasted weekend

I just handed my assignment in with 5 mins to spare. Why on earth am I doing this to myself?! Weep

  • Re: Going to be a wasted weekend

Cheers Well done!  now have a drink!

  • Re: Going to be a wasted weekend

Thanks. I'm on my second Laugh And I just had a fag, even though I've given up. I feel a bit sick. Although that might be the curry and ice-cream plus wine plus fag. Ugh. I need to chill out Laugh

  • Re: Going to be a wasted weekend

Put the cigs down - not worth starting again, remember how hard it was to stop, especially with a glass or two of wine.  Just take an extra large swig instead

  • Re: Going to be a wasted weekend

Just remembered I forgot to double-space it. Gah! Too late now. I think I'm going to go to bed, I'm too full for any more wine!
