  • What does the weekend hold for you?

    Morning all Wave

It's my favourite time of the week, Saturday morning, full of possibility for the weekend ahead...

Plans for the weekend include a long run this morning, bit of gardening if it clears up, watching the gentleman caller play rugby this afternoon, then  food shopping for friends coming round to dinner this evening. I'm going to try my hand at souffles for the first time ever - this evening's guinea pigs are hand selected not to laugh at me if they go wrong Laugh

Tomorrow is a long cycle, more gardening then maybe dinner out or maybe not...

What are you all up to?

Today - mooching round the house and then going shopping.  Tonight I'm having dinner out, and lots of drinks, with a friend.  Tomorrow will be recovering from tonight Laugh, and hopefully getting my hair coloured and then going for dinner at a friend's house.

nooo gentleman caller just seems so proper and refined.

its not quite worked on my gentleman caller though

me: "il have a coffee if you are making one my dear gentleman caller"

him:  "tit, stop sniffing the hairspray a work its making you mental" (walks off shaking head)

I have next week off work but still got up at 7am! I loooove weekends.

Going to town later; its my Mum's 60th on Tuesday and although we're going shopping on the day I still want to get her something to open in the morning. Going to brave the Next sale for some work clothes. I know what sort of thing I want and what size fits in there so going to go for it.

Off to a friend's tonight for birthday/curry/party then studying all day tomorrow I think.

Edited to add am waiting to hear from our estate agent if the man whose house we want to buy wants to buy ours, thereby enabling us to move, as there seem to be no first time buyers or investors looking at ours. I have chosen decor for each room already and am considering making a scrapbook from my Ideal Home magazines ROTFL

Got lots of baking to do today - for a family party tomorrow and rolls for lunch next week.  Need to get on and get started!  Then we have said family party tomorrow.  It would have been my grandads birthday (he died last month) but we are all getting together and planting a bush in his memory  grandad and scattering his ashes.

Sorry to hear about your Grandad Kegsey. That will be a lovely gesture though. Hope there aren't too many tears.

This morning I've been watching the F1 qualifying and now getting ready to go off to lunch with friends at wagamamas followed by some shopping at the oasis in Birmingham. Tomorrow I'll be watching the F1 and mailny cleaning as we are hosting a friends going away party next weekend (she's going back to her home country for good [:'(] )

Going to a family reunion for the 'other side' today. Should be interesting! Hardly know some of them but the twins will get to play with their cousins so a good thing to do on a wet day

Tonight H is out babysitting for his sis so I get the tv to myself hurrah trash tv here we come!

Tomorrow trip to Ikea not very exciting but am sadly excited about it!

Nuffin else apart from jobs round the house, nice.

  • Re: What does the weekend hold for you?

If H ever gets out of bed and gets over his hangover we are going car shopping later. We are having an alarm fitted at some point over the weekend and best of all we are going to my favourite garden centre so I can buy lots of nice things for my garden.

  • Re: What does the weekend hold for you?

Just finishing off some work this morning, then housework. Woot!

I was hoping to go for a long bike ride and a run, but the ligament damage to my foot means that's off the menu for a while. I think I'll do some ab work instead.

Tomorrow we're meeting friends for brunch and depending on how my foot is, we might then go and watch the boat race.

    Ha! Begone you daft tickers!

Thankyou.  He was a keen gardener so its quite fitting.  And, hopefully, it will make the day much easier for my Grandma who seems to be in the guilt bit of grief.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Dullity dull weekend of housework and studying.  Might try to persuade Mr BB that we need to go out for dinner tonight, but depends what time he gets home from work and how knackered he is
