Matt Cardle: I'll still perform wedding gig

One lucky couple are set to enjoy a performance by Matt Cardle at their wedding this weekend.

In an interview with MyDaily.co.uk, this year's X Factor winner revealed he still plans to play gigs he booked before appearing on the show.

One of these is the nuptials of Chris Heap, who manages The Bull pub in Halstead, Essex.

"I always said before I went on The X Factor, with gigs we had booked up, 'Mate, if I'm still available, of course I will do it and I won't charge any more'," Cardle continued.

The 27-year-old painter and decorator from Colchester added that although he is preparing to head out on the road for the X Factor tour, he will still honour any performances he had previously arranged.

Cardle was crowned winner of the ITV talent show last Sunday (December 12th), while Liverpudlian Rebecca Ferguson finished in second place.

Speaking to the Mirror recently, his mentor Dannii Minogue claimed she would be thrilled if Kate Middleton wore a dress from her Project D clothing range for her nuptials next year.
