It can be easy for brides to create plenty of atmosphere at their winter
wedding venue for a truly magical day.
According to editor of Perfect Wedding magazine Helen Webster, candles are the ideal way to bring drama to the occasion, while some people may want to experiment with different lighting styles.
She also said brides should be a little more creative than simply wearing an amazing
wedding dress teamed with a fur stole if they want to capture the spirit of the season on their big day.
One way in which they could do this is to introduce a Christmassy scent, Ms Webster continued.
She said couples should use "cloves, cinnamon, fresh berries and cranberries, those smells and the kind of looks you get around that time of year".
Earlier this year, a survey conducted by Wedding Ideas revealed more than 37 per cent of those who have just tied the knot plan to celebrate their first Christmas with a cosy day alone.
