Joe McElderry to sing at Simon Cowell's wedding?

For many couples, hearing their favourite song and having their first dance captured in their wedding video may be a great start to married life.

However, it seems as though Simon Cowell could have more than just a DJ playing tunes when he ties the knot.

X Factor winner Joe McElderry has revealed he would love to sing at the music mogul's wedding when he marries makeup artist Mezghan Hussainy.

Speaking to the Press Association, the 19-year-old star from South Shields said: "Maybe he'll ask us to sing there, you never know."

McElderry signed to Cowell's Syco label after winning the TV talent contest last year, beating Olly Murs and Stacey Solomon to the prize.

He may have some competition when it comes to securing his place as the entertainment at the wedding venue though.

Speaking to Now magazine earlier this month, Katy Perry revealed she would like to do a duet with Cheryl Cole at Cowell's celebration.
