Russell Brand and Katy Perry wedding invitations 'most sought after'

Wedding invitations for Russell Brand and Katy Perry's nuptials have been selected as the most sought-after by voters in a new poll.

Carried out on behalf of Mercure hotels, the survey revealed the pair was selected by more than one quarter (26 per cent) of respondents, the Press Association reports.

The general public was also keen to receive wedding invitations to a royal ceremony, with Prince William and Kate Middleton garnering 13 per cent of the votes despite not even being engaged.

People were less keen to witness Frank Lampard saying his vows to former One Show host Christine Bleakley, with the duo only being picked by three per cent of those asked.

"The best wedding celebrations don't have to come with a celebrity price tag but are generally those that reflect the personalities of the couple," wedding coordinator Siobhan Craven-Robins said of the results.

Brand, who recently starred in comedy Get Him to the Greek, reportedly proposed to Perry in India on New Year's Eve.
