Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr wed in secret

Orlando Bloom and his partner Miranda Kerr have tied the knot in a secret wedding ceremony, it has been revealed.

A spokesperson for the Pirates of the Caribbean actor confirmed the news to MailOnline, although no other official details have been released.

However, Victoria's Secret model Kerr also hinted at the union when she released a statement explaining why she had to pull out of an appearance at upmarket Australian store David Jones.

She said: "David Jones very graciously released me during this period so we could celebrate an intimate ceremony and honeymoon together."

The couple have been dating for three years and it is thought that the wedding venue was somewhere in Los Angeles.

Earlier this month, Kerr claimed that she and Bloom may have trouble deciding on the location for their nuptials because they have friends all over the world.

She also said his proposal came as a complete surprise, although they had discussed the idea of marriage.
