Mena Suvari marries in Italy

Mena Suvari and her partner Simone Sestito have tied the knot.

The wedding venue chosen by the couple was a private church in Vatican City in Italy, thought to have been chosen because Sestito's family live nearby.

This is not the first time the 31-year-old actress has walked down the aisle, as she was previously married to cinematographer Robert Brinkmann from 2000 until 2006.

She met Sestito, 25, at the Toronto Film Festival in 2007 and they got engaged a year later.

Speaking to People, a source revealed: "The ceremony was truly unique and Mena looked breathtaking. They are very much in love."

In a previous interview with OK! magazine, the American Beauty actress revealed how she wanted her wedding dress to hide her tattoos because there are two nuns in her new husband's family.

She can also be seen in movies such as American Pie, Factory Girl and Domino.
