Carrie Underwood: I'm serving cupcakes at my wedding

Instead of having a traditional wedding cake at her nuptials, Carrie Underwood has revealed that she has something different in mind.

The country singer and songwriter, who rose to fame as the winner of the fourth series of American Idol, said that she wants to serve her guests cupcakes at the celebration.

She also told CMT Radio Live that despite her alternative choice of dessert, she considers herself to be a traditional person.

"More than anything, we're going to get married, that's the important part. And we want everyone to have a good time, so we're doing some things like that, that are a little bit different," Underwood continued.

She got engaged to ice hockey player Mike Fisher in December last year and admitted that because they both have busy schedules, wedding planning has been difficult.

While he has more games to play this season, she is touring until the end of June.
