Hilary Duff begins wedding planning

Actress and singer Hilary Duff will be doing some wedding planning in the months to come, according to reports.

She has officially announced her engagement to Mike Comrie of the National Hockey League, days after he proposed to her.

A spokesperson for the pair said: "Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie were engaged this weekend while vacationing in Hawaii.

"After having been together for over two years, they are very excited to share this happy news."

The pair also, through their representative, thanked well-wishers for their support.

Duff is not the only singer to become engaged recently, following the news that Amy Winehouse is doing some wedding planning.

It could be easier this time around, as she has already married Blake Fielder-Civil once - but he told Heat magazine the divorced pair are rekindling their affections for one another.

Winehouse has also begun once again to wear the Tiffany ring bought three years ago by her former husband.
