Couple bag wedding reception bargain on eBay

A couple from Telford enjoyed the lavish wedding of their dreams after a successful eBay auction bid for a reception at a three-star hotel.

Colette and Lee Clark tried their luck on the bargain website and managed to bag their wedding venue for just £51.

As such, they were able to double the number of wedding invitations they could afford to send out and even provided an evening buffet for their guests on top of a three-course meal.

Colette, 25, told the Daily Mail: "I'd never used eBay before but Lee is a big bargain hunter … [The wedding] went absolutely perfectly. It was everything we expected it to be and the weather was lovely."

More and more brides are turning to eBay to buy their wedding dress in a bid to save money during the current economic downturn.
