Engaged couple to wear wedding outfits for Great North Run

Tradition dictates that it is bad luck for a groom to see his intended in her
wedding dress before the ceremony, so a couple of keen athletes will soon be hoping it applies only to the specific bridal gown.
Engaged couple Adrienne Buck and Ian Robinson are planning to take part in the Great North Run on September 20th, reports the Greenock Telegraph.
The race is just a week before they are due to get married and they have decided to run it in full wedding outfits - Adrienne in a
wedding dress and Chris in a kilt.
However, the pair's attire is not simply part of their wedding celebrations, they also hope it will help them to raise £1,000 for the Children With Leukaemia charity.
A bridal shop in Scotland has donated Adrienne's race dress, which is full length and has a train, but she will not be reusing it for the marriage ceremony.
"I have another dress. I won't be running up the aisle," she said.
Adrienne and Ian's wedding-themed run cannot quite match that of Rachel Pitt and Garry Keates, who stopped off halfway through this year's London Marathon to tie the knot, before completing the race.
