Car manufacturer spoils wedding couples' dreams

A number of wedding couples in the Isle of Wight have been left disappointed after a wedding car manufacturer failed to come up with the luxury goods to make their day special.
Maggie Hilton, the owner of
wedding venue Enchanted Manor assured customers that they would be able to arrive at their ceremony in style after she ordered a limousine from Elite Wedding Cars.
She paid a deposit of £14,000 for a Beauford Tourer limousine from the Lancashire-based company, but was devastated when it failed to arrive.
One bride who involved the car in her
wedding planning was Holly Barnes-Thomas, who told the Lancashire Evening Post: "The car really was going to be the icing on the cake at our wedding - we're so disappointed."
Mrs Hilton has since taken the car manufacturer to court for its failure to provide her with the vehicle she ordered and was awarded £30,000 in damages.
This comes after wedding couples in Derbyshire were recently told they could not rent out the grounds of the 17th-century Tissington Hall for their reception because they were home to a threatened type of mushroom, the Telegraph reported.
