Winning couple celebrate dream wedding

Wedding competition winners from Southport, Jenni Haddock and Ben Johnson, tied the knot this month after months of exciting wedding planning.

The lucky bride and groom won £15,000 to fund their dream wedding in a competition held by the Southport Visiter last October and finally made it up the aisle on March 20th after eight years of dating, the regional newspaper reported.

Both 24, the childhood sweethearts exchanged vows at a church wedding venue, before joining friends and family at a lavish reception.

Commenting on the special day, Jenni told the Southport Visiter: "It has been fabulous. I was very excited this morning, and there were a few nerves – just excited nerves though!"

"We're absolutely thrilled. It has been magical," the groom added.

After celebrating their union, Jenni and Ben jetted off to the French slopes on honeymoon.

This weekend the County Gazette is set to announce the winners of its Win Your Wedding competition worth £20,000.
