Peggy Mitchell's white wedding photos revealed

New images taken during the filming of the upcoming EastEnders wedding scenes reveal that pub landlady Peggy Mitchell opts for a traditional white wedding dress to walk down the aisle with new hubby Archie.

The pictures show that the show's cast members go all out for the highly anticipated soap wedding, kitted out in formal wedding attire, with a north London church serving as the couple's wedding venue.

Actress Barbara Windsor, who looks every inch the demure bride as Peggy, wore a floor-length white gown, embellished with lace and pear accessories for what will be her third wedding on the soap.

Earlier this month, the Northampton Chronicle & Echo reported that a bride-to-be from Northampton won the Daz Bride competition, receiving a £2,000 replica EastEnders wedding dress, inspired by the red gown wore by Kat Slater on the show.

Soap weddings are notorious for attracting record numbers of viewers, with writers taking full advantage of the drama factor involved in getting hitched.
