A couple in the US tied the knot on Christmas Day in a chapel made entirely out of ice, reports reveal.
Michael Cook and Sigret Ball exchanged wedding vows at the unusual
wedding venue in Alaska, specifically built out of ice and inspired by the Alaskan Aurora Ice Museum on December 25th.
Commenting on the couple's choice of venue and wedding date, the groom told the Associated Press: "Lots of people get married in chapels. I will be the only one married in this chapel.
"We are getting married in the heart of the heart of Alaska. We wanted to honor the birth of Jesus and have it represent the birth of a new life together."
The bride wore a floor-length
wedding dress with a golden velvet cape to protect her from the cold during the 20-minute marriage ceremony.
Christmas has long been a popular time of year to pop the question and get hitched.
