Madonna's famous wedding dresses to be displayed
The
wedding dress Madonna wore in the hit musical Evita and the wedding gown worn for her Like a Virgin tour are set to go on show in East London next year.
From February 21st, Madonna fans and brides-to-be will be able to catch a glimpse of a collection of the pop icon's signature dresses worn at various stages throughout her career.
The exhibition will display the
wedding dresses and the pink satin dress featured in the 1985 Material Girl video among others, in the Old Truman Brewery gallery in London's Brick Lane.
Exhibition Curator Ted Owen said: "This is an unprecedented collection of Madonna memorabilia that represents every stage of her glittering career.
"These are museum-quality pieces but they will be presented in-keeping with the glamour and sense of theatre that the queen of pop has made her trademark and Madonna fans should be very excited indeed."
For her own wedding to husband Guy Ritchie, Madonna wore a strapless ivory silk wedding gown with a long train created by top fashion designer and friend Stella McCartney.
