Jessica Simpson Xmas wedding rumours emerge

Jessica Simpson could be marrying her fiance Eric Johnson at Christmas, according to reports.

Wedding website The Ring Bearer reports it has heard rumours the recently engaged couple will be tying the knot at some point during the festive season.

The singer is said to want a simple ceremony when she marries Johnson, a former NFL football player, following a more extravagant affair on her big day with first husband Nick Lachey.

Simpson and Lachey wed in 2002 and enjoyed a white wedding with 350 guests and a five-tier cake, with the bride wearing a custom Vera Wang dress.

The site suggested she may consider donning a vintage lace gown this time round in order to match her classic engagement ring.

Her dad, Joe Simpson, recently told UsMagazine that his daughter is "the happiest she's been in her entire life", adding: "It's so wonderful to see."

Celebrities often take to Twitter to make announcements or set the record straight and it seems as though one pop star may have used the social networking site to reveal a secret.

Rumours are flying that Brian McFadden and his girlfriend Delta Goodrem have tied the knot after he referred to her as his "wife".

As RTE.ie reports, the former Westlife singer tweeted the top five things he did this week, including going to the dentist and buying a turkey for the second time.

However, he described number one on his list as "a secret". This was followed by a post stating: "My sexy wife looks so beautiful lying asleep next to me."

This suggested the pair may have decided to walk down the aisle away from the glare of the media.

McFadden is not the only star to allude to a wedding via Twitter, as last month rapper P Diddy claimed he was set to tie the knot on February 14th 2011.

However, he later admitted this was a joke, adding: "She aint sign the prenup!!!"

Zara Phillips to walk down the aisle

Zara Phillips and rugby player Mike Tindall are set to get married, Buckingham Palace has revealed.

The queen's eldest granddaughter, who won the BBC sports personality of the year award in 2006 for her equestrian accomplishments, has been dating Tindall for seven years.

"The queen and the duke of Edinburgh are delighted with the news," a palace spokesman was quoted by the Associated Press as saying.

Tindall currently plays for Gloucester and was part of England's World Cup-winning team of 2003, participating in all but one of their matches in the tournament.

The announced engagement sets up the possibility of a double royal wedding in 2011, with Prince William and Kate Middleton having already confirmed they will be tying the knot on April 29th.

According to the Huffington Post, Middleton is currently learning Welsh and has been for some time in order to better fulfil her duties when she becomes the Princess of Wales.

Wedding bells for Shania Twain

Country musician Shania Twain has found love again with Swiss executive Frederic Thiebaud, her representative has confirmed.

Us Weekly reported that the happy couple stepped out in New York City this week, with Twain sporting a large engagement ring during a lunch at Serafina's Fabulous Grill.

Thibauld, an executive at Nestle, is thought to have proposed to the singer two months ago in Switzerland.

Twain has previously been married to music producer Robert "Mutt" Lange, who left the Any Man of Mine singer in 2008 for her best friend Marie-Anne Thibaud - who was Frederic's wife at the time.

It is thought the pair reached out to support each other in the alleged double betrayal and subsequently found love.

"We leaned on one another through the ups and downs, taking turns holding each other up. We've become stronger and closer through it all," Twain wrote on her website last year.
