The bridalwear catwalk in 2012 brought lashings of lace and elegant vintage glamour. The collections being released in 2013 however are un-veiling gorgeous gowns featuring sheer panels and incredible eye-catching backs.

The latest prêt a porter label from MiaMia has a number of stylish designs which feature sheer beauty, and below are five of my favourite examples!

Clematis – Featuring a stylish, sweetheart neckline, capped sleeves and elegant lace, this dress would be simply beautiful if you plan on having a church wedding or a vintage summer do during 2013.

Edelweiss – If you’re a fan of high necked fashion and it works really well with your figure then this ivory dress could be perfect for you. The ruffled sleeves give this gown a fun, fashionable edge!

Rosemary – This ballgown style dress features a lovely sweetheart neckline and long sleeves; ideal if you’re getting married in the autumn or winter months, or in a building that you feel might be cold. Team this dress up with a pair of pretty earrings to complete your bridal look.

Tamara – This dress oozes elegance and would look gorgeous with a veil to match the sheer neckline. The belt around the waist will emphasize your stunning figure and this timeless dress could be worn at any time of year.

Windflower – If you love floral lace then this dress could be the one for you. With a large flower featured on the sheer neckline and a cathedral length train, this wedding gown could look truly wonderful if you plan on having a stylish summer wedding.

Popular Peplum on your Wedding Day

Peplum has become a huge fashion statement throughout 2012 here in the UK and has been worn by Rochelle Wiseman from The Saturdays, Beyonce, Cheryl Cole, Emma Watson the wonderful Kate Middleton and a whole line of celebrities from around the world.

So Sassi, the latest brand to emerge from the creations of Sassi Holford, have designed two stunning wedding dresses, both featuring the peplum edge.

Bethany, from the latest collection, features a dipped peplum with a petite bow and a flattering V at the back, all designed around a column silhouette.

Bianca is a gorgeous, guipure lace column style gown which also features a dipped peplum. A satin sash and a bow at the back with tails completes this dress beautifully.

Peplum doesn't suit every figure, but if you can pull it off you’ll look absolutely stunning, and totally on-trend!
