Wedding Outfits - Inspiration for the Mother of the Bride

Brides and grooms-to-be are busy preparing
for their weddings in the hitched.co.uk discussion forums and with the busiest
time of the year for weddings just around the corner its no doubt that everyone is getting ready and excited
for the big day.
It’s not however just the bride and groom
who need to get their wedding outfits ready. The mother of the bride will also want to
look sensational as she watches her daughter marry her new son-in-law.
For mothers of the bride who are having a
little trouble finding the perfect outfit to wear to her daughters wedding,
here are a few ideas that may help you along the way…
~ Wear something comfortable. Wearing an ill-fitting outfit will make you
feel awkward all day, so be sure to choose something that fits correctly and
won't irritate you throughout the ceremony or wedding breakfast.
~ Choose a colour that doesn’t clash with the
wedding colour scheme and avoid block white or ivory outfits.
~ Don’t choose an outfit that is too similar
to what the bridesmaids are wearing. You
wouldn’t want the photographer getting confused.
~ Cover up.
Wherever the wedding is taking place, it’s probably appropriate to cover
your shoulders for the ceremony. However it should be ok to remove your
matching jacket or shawl later in the evening once the party starts.
~ Think about your footwear. You will probably spend most of the day
mingling with friends and posing for photographs, so think about a sensible
pair of shoes – making sure they look fabulous with your outfit.
