On July 16th one of our designers, Aimee, will
walk down the aisle and marry the man of her dreams. Throughout Aimee’s
engagement the team here at hitched.co.uk has followed her journey through
wedding planning and are super excited to see her tie the knot in style.
We thought it only best to send Aimee off into married life
in style by throwing her a hen party never to be forgotten.
With the help of the hitched.co.uk hen/stag section Darren
and Abi were able to arrange a fantastic day/night out in London last Friday for our team of 16. We broke the tradition of having just girls
to the hen do, but the overall experience with the guys involved too was truly fabulous.
After playing a few games in the office involving panties
and a blow up doll we all ventured to Covent Garden
where our first challenge began. We were
split into 3 teams and given instructions for a treasure hunt which commenced,
and came to an end at the Punch and Judy pub. Our challenge was to unlock the
code of 6 different cryptic clues by searching high and low around the historic
buildings of London
for the answers. Whether inside a red phone box or finding specific quotes on
monuments throughout the city this treasure hunt stretched us to our limits and
awarded the winning team with victory! The challenge was a huge success and thoroughly
enjoyed by us all – thanks to Red Seven!
From Covent Garden we headed over to Revolution in Soho (www.revolution-bars.co.uk)
for a Cocktail masterclass! After a quick cocktail we all gathered around the
bar and were taught how to make cocktails, with the twist of racing against
each other to make the best tasting cocktail. In pairs we took on the
challenge, and the loser had to drink a chilli vodka shot!
We laughed, the one’s who had to take the chilli shot cried,
and a huge amount of fun was had by everyone.
The bar tender gave us a wicked finale and we all cheered after having
had a wonderful time!
After recovering with pizza we walked across town to
Babble Bar (www.babble-bar.co.uk) on
Berkley Square
for the final venture of the day. A
private booth had been arranged for us on the lower level with bottles of
champagne, vodka and a ton of mixers. We also had a number of delicious platters
brought over before the dance floor opened up.
The DJ played awesome tunes all night and we danced the night away as a
team, celebrating our bride-to-be, Aimee!
