Beauty on the Beach

Choosing your destination wedding gown will be fun and exciting, and even though transporting your dress to your chosen destination might be a bit nerve-wracking, when you end up walking down the sandy aisle looking like a princess it will all have been worth it.
Megan, my beautiful best friend from university, got married on a beach in the Virgin Islands not too long ago. Honeymoon Beach on Water Island was her chosen destination after having gone there on holiday since she was just 18 months old. It was the perfect location to take her life in to its next phase.
Megan knew early on in her wedding planning that she wanted a beach wedding. She ended up choosing a lovely and light San Patrick gown which had a cathedral train which she teamed up with a beautiful long veil. The ruffles all over Megan's dress looked like crashing waves, and it moved perfectly with her as she glided down the aisle with her father.
Megan's bridesmaids wore sand coloured dresses, and the men wore sand coloured linen suits with white linen button down shirts. She had her bright pink orchids, hot pink roses and bougainvillea flowers flown in from the States as well as other local flowers dotted around to decorate their celebration.
The whole ceremony was romantic with tiki torches lining the beach to give it that extra glow. The evening reception was held in a pavilion on the same beach and paper lanterns were woven through the old ceilings The shabby chic look was well represented.
Megan was extremely happy with her strapless beach wedding dress designed by San Patrick and it worked perfectly through out the day and beyond the evening reception!
