Weddings, reviews, gossip and shoes...................a view from a girl who lives, breathes and dreams - weddings!

'Save the Date' cards are important!

I never understood the point of a save the date card.  Why would anyone send a reminder about getting an invitation several months later? BUT I have now been enlightened as to why Save the Date cards are so important.

If you are getting married anywhere near Easter, anytime from June-September, or close to the Christmas/New Year holiday then it is definitely worth sending out a Save the Date Card to everyone on your guest list.

The purpose of a Save the Date card informs your guests who may be booking a holiday or trip...to keep the date of your wedding clear.  School holidays mean that people are more than likely going to travel...and seeing as people book trips months and months in advance you need to get your special date in there early!

The hitched.co.uk shop has a selection of wedding invitations and stationary...including 'Save the Date' cards that can coordinate with the rest of your wedding stationary and theme.

Click here to view the full range of save the date cards, invitations, place cards, menu cards, thank you cards, order of service and much more.

A Save the Date card is a great idea and will get your guests excited about your big day months before their invitation arrives!
