Family

I attended a family occasion yesterday. It wasn't a wedding, however the occasion did get me thinking about weddings. 

I always say that a marriage is between 2 people - but actually, the marriage is a celebration between a whole family and family friends from the past and present.  There are very few occasions where the entire family can come together and a wedding should be one of those day's. Seeing distant cousins, relatives, Aunties, Uncles, friends from University and friends from pre-school all in one room will make you realise how important your family is. 

If you are doubtful about whether or not you should invite family or friends that you were once close with, but haven't seen in a long time, I say go for it. You will be so greatful that everyone has attended your wedding day and is there to support you and your celebration. You only ever have one family....so make the most of it :o)
