Welcome one and all to my celebrity wedding blog. For those of you with no interest in famous fashionistas and their pre-nuptial plans, avert your eyes now, otherwise, you've come to the right place. Having worked in the fashion magazine industry for as long as I have and specialising in glamorous celebrity weddings - to which I have attended my fair share - juicy insider scoops are my raison d'etre. Believe me, I have seen some things that may inspire, shock and even terrify you to the very core so consider me your eyes and ears on all things glitzy, glamorous and wedding related.

Jessica Simpson wants a "simple" wedding

As you probably already know, Jessica Simpson is set to walk down the aisle for a second time and marry ex-NFL player Eric Johnson.

But what may come as more of a surprise is that she wants to keep the ceremony "simple".

Speaking to People magazine in New York earlier this week, the star claimed although she knows the type of wedding she is after, she hasn't made any plans.

"I have not set a date and I can't even think about putting together like table settings and all that," Simpson explained.

She is well-known for appearing in Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica, which documented her life with ex-husband Nick Lachey, so why is she choosing to keep her second marriage low-key and avoid all the usual Hollywood extravagance?

I'm wondering whether part of the reason is because she has already been married and therefore experienced the fuss that comes with saying "I do" in the past.

Many divorcees tying the knot again are, I'm sure, happy to make it a very personal and quiet affair with just family members and a few friends around them. This way they still have a memorable day but in a grown-up, sophisticated way.

Plus, they've already gotten the thrill of having a big, fancy bash out of their system and getting married for a second time is bound to feel different.

Would you have a smaller ceremony if you were on your second wedding?
