Welcome one and all to my celebrity wedding blog. For those of you with no interest in famous fashionistas and their pre-nuptial plans, avert your eyes now, otherwise, you've come to the right place. Having worked in the fashion magazine industry for as long as I have and specialising in glamorous celebrity weddings - to which I have attended my fair share - juicy insider scoops are my raison d'etre. Believe me, I have seen some things that may inspire, shock and even terrify you to the very core so consider me your eyes and ears on all things glitzy, glamorous and wedding related.

Pixie Lott is bridesmaid at cousin's wedding

Mama Do singer Pixie Lott donned a bridesmaid dress for her cousin's nuptials over the weekend.

Pixie Lott walked down the aisle over the weekend, but it wasn't her that was getting married.

The Mama Do singer – whose real name is Victoria – was a bridesmaid for her cousin Lauren at a ceremony in Essex.

Although she wasn't wearing a wedding dress, Lott had a special frock for the occasion and she and three other girls wore corseted ballerina-style outfits with short tutu skirts and large rose details on the back.  The foursome also had matching nude-coloured heels.

This got me thinking about bridesmaids dresses and considering this frock is pretty different to Lott's usual style, I wonder if she had a say in the design.

I think this is a tricky area, while some women may be happy to pay for a dress the bride has chosen, others may have their own opinions on what suits them, or even feel reluctant to fork out so much cash.

So how can the lucky lady make sure all her friends are happy?

Buying them a thank-you gift is a good idea in my opinion. Not only does it show appreciation, but if it's something like a piece of jewellery it can also be worn with the bridesmaid dress on the big day, so it's sentimental too.

As the bride, have you chosen your bridesmaids dresses, or have you left the choosing up to them?
