Welcome one and all to my celebrity wedding blog. For those of you with no interest in famous fashionistas and their pre-nuptial plans, avert your eyes now, otherwise, you've come to the right place. Having worked in the fashion magazine industry for as long as I have and specialising in glamorous celebrity weddings - to which I have attended my fair share - juicy insider scoops are my raison d'etre. Believe me, I have seen some things that may inspire, shock and even terrify you to the very core so consider me your eyes and ears on all things glitzy, glamorous and wedding related.

Florence Welch – wedding singer?

Florence Welch treated guests to a few songs at her stepbrother's wedding recently.

It's not every day a bride and groom can say they have a famous person in their wedding video, but that is what happened to one couple in Northern Ireland.

Wendy McCay, from Drumquin, married Englishman Sam Openshaw recently and it just so happens that the groom is the stepbrother of Florence Welch from top indie band Florence and the Machine.

Because of this, the flame-haired songstress treated the happy couple – and their guests – to a performance at the wedding venue of Trinity Church, the Ulster Herald reported.

Ok, so I'll admit that not many of us are lucky enough to have a famous relative to perform on the big day, but it has got me thinking about the different types of entertainment.

While most people probably opt for a disco at their reception, hiring a band could be a great alternative. Or what about a local singer who could come and perform some of the newlyweds' favourite tunes?

It makes a nice change to the flashing lights and cheesy pop songs of a mobile DJ and I for one would quite enjoy slow dancing with my new husband to some proper instruments.

What song have you chosen for your first dance?
