What does 2010 hold for bridesmaids' dresses?

Many bridesmaid dresses are now being designed with the bride's frock in mind.
I'm pretty sure that most women consider their wedding dress to be one of the most important frocks they will ever wear, but they also need to think about their bridesmaids on the big day.
It's no good wearing a stunning gown to walk down the aisle if the rest of the bridal party doesn't come up to scratch.
One way to make sure that everyone looks their best when they arrive at the wedding venue could be to choose gowns that come as part of a set and feature matching detailing.
Helen Webster, editor of Perfect Wedding magazine, explained: "When you look at bridesmaid trends I think bridesmaid dresses very much pull in influences from bridal as well."
This means that they could all feature the same straps or detailing on the bows and corsages.
Do you think it's a good idea to have matching dresses? Obviously they will be in a different colour to the bride's white gown, maybe turquoise or deep red, but I think its nice to have some kind of unity.
It brings the group together and can help to establish a theme in the same way that the wedding flowers can match the decorations or the groom's corsage.
