Amy Winehouse 'not marrying in Vegas'

Singer Amy Winehouse will not be jetting off to Las Vegas to tie the knot.

Despite rumours saying otherwise, Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil are not planning to book a wedding venue in Las Vegas and tie the knot.

I've read several stories recently which claimed that the pair are hoping to follow in the footsteps of Katie Price and say their vows in the US when the singer's visa application has been approved.

But it seems as though this was just tabloid speculation, as a spokesperson has confirmed that the couple's wedding planning includes nothing of the sort.

"Blake's rehab means he's not going to be rushing into marriage, so planning a wedding in Vegas within weeks is not only not wanted by them both, it's also impossible," he told the Mirror.

Personally, I'm not sure about Vegas weddings. Although getting married abroad is great there seems to be something a little bit tacky about tying the knot in the city's Little White Wedding Chapel.

Of course, it would certainly make for a memorable occasion, but I think I'd much prefer to have my friends around me and make the effort to decorate a venue and really create something unique.

Would you ever get married in Vegas?
