Have Katy and Russell rushed into engagement?

Following the news that Katy Perry and Russell Brand have decided to tie the knot, I wonder if they're moving a bit too fast.

As you're probably aware by now, it was officially announced last week that Russell Brand and Katy Perry are engaged and could soon be looking at wedding venues.

The comedian reportedly popped the question while the pair were on holiday in India on New Year's Eve. They then had their engagement blessed by a 'love guru' during a spiritual ceremony.

When I heard the news I was happy for the couple, I always find it exciting when celebrities get engaged and I can't wait to see what their wedding dresses look like.

However, I can't help but wonder whether Russell and Katy are rushing into things a bit. After all, they've only been going out for a few months.

I think it is a good idea to enjoy being in a relationship for a while and even move in together before committing to marriage.

You want to be sure that you are a perfect match and I don't think you know this after only being together for three months.

How long had you been with your partner before you got engaged?
