Will Ferrell 'crashes' engagement announcement

He didn't crash the wedding, but Will Ferrell did appear in one couple's engagement announcement recently.

Having a celebrity sing or make an appearance at your nuptials might be a dream come true for some people and a real treat to watch on the wedding video.

Although their celebration hasn't taken place yet, one couple got the next best thing when comedy actor Will Ferrell made a cameo in their engagement announcement.

Jessie Fuller and Peyton Rodgers had their photo published in the New York Times to tell everyone their happy news.

However, they were joined in the picture by Anchorman star Will, who appears to be standing behind the happy couple.

They are both production assistants and Peyton is currently working on The Other Guys, a new movie staring the actor.

Although some people might think something like this ruins the special moment of announcing an engagement, I think it's a great way of remembering the occasion.

After all, how many people can say they got Will Ferrell in their wedding photography?

Jessie and Peyton won't be forgetting their announcement in a hurry and it's one snap they'll surely be putting in the family album to look at time and time again.

Do you think a quirky announcement like this is a good idea? Or is it better to keep things traditional?
