Should weddings be full of people or private affairs?
American football star Tom Brady has revealed that his "perfect" wedding to supermodel Gisele Bundchen took an astonishing ten days to plan.
The sportsman, who plays for the New England Patriots, told GQ magazine that only the couple's parents and his 18-month-old son from a previous relationship attended the event.
Although the newlyweds held another bash with wedding invitations for extended family and friends, he said it was important that the big day was just about him and his wife.
Tom explained that people think weddings "need to be 200 people and you invite everybody", but in his opinion, "there was really something special about just having our parents there".
This got me thinking about how important it is to be surrounded by your loved ones on your special day.
Although I think you should do what makes you happy when it comes to wedding planning, I can image that some people could be annoyed if their best friends or siblings snuck off to marry in secret.
Do you think it is important to let others share in your celebrations with you? Or can a low-key affair be more personal and special to the couple?
