Leaving the wedding planning to the groom
Considering there was little on TV last night apart from football, I decided to curl up on my sofa and watch the latest episode of BBC 3's Don't Tell the Bride.
I'm sure most of you out there who are currently in the midst of wedding planning have seen the show, which follows the endeavours of a hapless groom-to-be as he takes it upon himself to arrange the entire wedding alone, leaving his terrified future wife completely in the dark.
The poor guy in question is given a budget of £12,000 and a couple of months to organise the big day.
Everything from the wedding venue and dress to the flowers and entertainment are covered, and the first time the bride gets wind of any of the details is on the day they say their I dos.
This got me thinking about wedding planning and whether many brides would even consider allowing their groom to take the reins.
As someone who likes to be in charge of things, I personally don't think I could handle it. But more than anything, women dream about organising their big day from they are just little girls. To lose that would be such a shame.
How much input does your groom have in your wedding plans?
