Jennifer Bell

Welcome one and all to my celebrity wedding blog. For those of you with no interest in famous fashionistas and their pre-nuptial plans, avert your eyes now, otherwise, you've come to the right place. Having worked in the fashion magazine industry for as long as I have and specialising in glamorous celebrity weddings - to which I have attended my fair share - juicy insider scoops are my raison d'etre. Believe me, I have seen some things that may inspire, shock and even terrify you to the very core so consider me your eyes and ears on all things glitzy, glamorous and wedding related.

The cost of the perfect wedding performers

I'm a firm believer that the wedding reception is just as important as the ceremony itself as it is then that newlyweds get the chance to unwind and mingle with their friends and family for the first time as husband and wife. So, I think it only normal for a bride and groom to be prepared to go the extra mile to ensure the entertainment for the night is out of this world.

A new survey conducted by TV channel Living has revealed that you can bag a performance by rock legends the Rolling Stones for a mere £5 million - a drop in the ocean I'm sure! Or even Kylie Minogue for the slightly more modest price tag of £2 million.

While the prospect of booking wedding performers like this sounds just lovely and not at all likely to break the bank, securing an act from a little closer to home is undoubtedly a more sensible option - that way there will be budget money left over for silly things like the wedding dress and wedding venue!

But, just because you might be going local doesn't mean you can't have fun with your entertainment. Caricaturists have become super-popular for receptions, as have circus acts, acrobats, flamethrowers and men on stilts. There is no need to confine your choices to just dance music DJs. Singer-songwriters and even tribute acts of your favourite bands are an option, so be brave and be different when making your choice.

What type of entertainment are you having at your wedding?
