How to cut wedding day costs
Your wedding day is likely to be one of the most important occasions of your life, so when you decide to commence with your plans, it is only normal that you might want to go all out in terms of size and cost.
However, as the recession seems to be causing most people to tighten their purse strings, doing so may not feel like such a good idea.
As a result, some bride and grooms to be may want to make cutbacks on areas that would have otherwise cost them a lot of money - and are therefore becoming more creative in doing so.
Take Natalie and her new husband Lee Mapletoft from Somerset for example. When they started budgeting for their big day, their total estimation came to around £11,000. But, after becoming more thrifty-minded, the pair were able to whittle the costs down to just £5,000.
Natalie got online and found her dream wedding dress on eBay, which she purchased for just 99p. Along with postage, package and tailoring, she ended up paying a total of £87 - and looked fabulous for it.
Similarly, she and Lee purchased their wedding invitations, decorations and cards on the ecommerce site, which also helped to bring costs down.
It might be the most special day of your life, but that doesn't mean there is anything wrong with being cautious with costs!
