Welcome one and all to my celebrity wedding blog. For those of you with no interest in famous fashionistas and their pre-nuptial plans, avert your eyes now, otherwise, you've come to the right place. Having worked in the fashion magazine industry for as long as I have and specialising in glamorous celebrity weddings - to which I have attended my fair share - juicy insider scoops are my raison d'etre. Believe me, I have seen some things that may inspire, shock and even terrify you to the very core so consider me your eyes and ears on all things glitzy, glamorous and wedding related.

Peaches' wedding was a PR stunt - shocker!

When Sir Bob Geldof was left fuming last summer after the surprise wedding of his daughter Peaches to the virtually unknown Max Drummey, we could not help but think something was amiss.

The then 19-year-old had been in quite a serious relationship with Faris Rotter of The Horrors, so it came as a shock that she was suddenly donning a makeshift wedding dress and tying the knot with Chester French frontman Drummey in a Las Vegas wedding venue.

It all seemed to move too fast - even for Peaches the publicity slave. And it turns out that all our suspicions were correct - it was a PR stunt.

Max himself has revealed that the pair got married simply to gain exposure for his band. He explained: "It was totally a publicity stunt. 100 per cent. I have Peaches on a retainer. Not as my PR, as my friend. On my personal payroll."

Although the marriage came to an end six months later, it really bothers me that the whole affair happened in the first place. It is yet another example of how privileged celebrities treat the world as their playground - including the sanctity of marriage.

Have you ever been to a wedding that just should not have happened?
