Is there a royal wedding on the cards?
There is nothing like a decadent and splendid royal wedding to cheer up us Brits from the doom and gloom we have to contend with.
So, when I heard that the BBC has already set the wheels in motion to make a documentary to mark the forthcoming engagement of future monarch Prince William to his partner-of-seven-years Kate Middleton, can you blame me for jumping with excitement?
According to the Sun, the broadcaster has started filming the show entitled Their Story so that it is ready to coincide with the announcement of the pair's engagement.
Although we cannot be sure whether wedding planning has already commenced for William, 26, and Kate, 27, sources close to the royal family have suggested they are likely to tie the knot next summer.
However, unlucky for us, a Clarence House insider revealed to the tabloid newspaper that potential guests should not expect their wedding invitations anytime soon, saying: "It's too early to put champagne on ice."
Well, I won't be buying my hat just yet but fingers crossed that it happens soon!
What is your opinion of royal weddings: fabulous or overrated?
