The cycle of your wedding gift list is traditionally around 6 months – from the time you start thinking about your wedding gift list all the way through to your big day. Find below the stages of your wedding gift list and when to start thinking about them:

Begin to think about your gift list
Around 6 months before your big day it’s time to start thinking about your wedding gift list. Rather than having to settle on gifts from just one store, the hitched.co.uk gift list will allow you to add products from multiple stores so you have a great freedom of choice.

Register your gift list
You can register your gift list as early as you like on hitched.co.uk but traditionally couples do this around 5 months before the big day, giving you plenty of time to sit down as a couple and decide on what you would like on your gift list.

Start adding products
Between 4-5 months before your wedding is a great time to start adding all the products you would like. Doing this on the hitched.co.uk gift list couldn’t be simpler – you select the category or store you would like to add products from and then select to add to your gift list.

Notify your wedding guests
The majority of couples choose to notify their guests about their gift list by placing a card in their wedding invitations. If you have a gift list with us you will have the option to ‘Announce your Gift List’ where you can print out cards to add to your invitations or instead send an email to all your guests.

Start recieving your gifts
Unlike an old-style gift list, the hitched.co.uk gift list allows your guests to buy direct from the retailer and have the product delivered to your address of choice. Alternatively they can have the gift delivered to their own home and bring it to your wedding day.

Send your thank you notes
Don’t forget to send out your thank-you notes within a month of your big day. Thanking your guests for both their attendance and their wedding gift.
